One Night Only Concert of WHEN PIGS FLY to Benefit the Actors Fund

The Actors Fund announced today a one night benefit concert of last year's planned off-Broadway revival of When Pigs Fly, that never actually got to play for an audience. The concert, which will reunite the cast members and creative team for one night only, is set for Monday, April 9th.

2018 Theatre in the Park OUTDOOR Season Auditions Announced

Do you love to sing, dance or perform? Paraphrasing Shakespeare, is all the world a stage for you? Then don't miss the upcoming auditions for the 2018 Theatre in the Park (TTIP) OUTDOOR summer season on Saturday and Sunday Feb. 24 and 25. Auditions will take place for five musicals from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Feb. 24 and Noon to 4 p.m. on Feb. 25 at the Johnson County Arts & Heritage Center, 8878 Metcalf, in Overland Park. Performers of all shapes, size, voice types, ethnicities and racial backgrounds are encouraged to audition and make this a summer to remember!

HUNDRED DAYS Announced as La Jolla Playhouse's Final Production of 2018/19 Season

La Jolla Playhouse announces Hundred Days, book by The Bengsons and Sarah Gancher, music and lyrics by The Bengsons, directed by Anne Kauffman, and movement direction by Sonya Tayeh, as the final production of its 2018/2019 season, to run September 22 - October 21 in the Playhouse's Mandell Weiss Forum.

TheatreWorks Unveils 18-19 Season Including A Hershey Felder World Premiere And More

Theatre enthusiasts packed the Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts tonight to hear Founding Artistic Director Robert Kelley and Executive Director Phil Santora of TheatreWorks Silicon Valley reveal the lineup for the company's 49th season, which launches this summer. Among the exhilarating works announced were: the World Premiere of a new piece by Hershey Felder on Claude Debussy, an acclaimed Tony-winning musical, a thrilling political prizefight, and an array of Regional Premieres that include a hit comedy that sends up suburban values, a gospel/rhythm & blues musical developed at TheatreWorks, a heart-stirring musical for the holidays, a comic drama about one of the key historical events in the last century, a searing look at an unsung American hero, plus the return of the grown-up holiday hit The Santaland Diaries. Chance Theater, Anaheim's official resident theater company, is pleased to announce its production of Violet, which will kick off its 20th Anniversary Season. The show has book and lyrics by Brian Crawley, music by Jeanine Tesori, direction and choreography by Kari Hayter, and musical direction by Robyn Manion. Violet will preview from February 2 through February 9; regular performances will begin February 10 and continue through March 4 at Chance Theater @ Bette Aitken theater arts Center on the Cripe Stage.

Hal Cazalet Stars in PLAY ON WORDS Live at Zedel

Hal Cazalet returns to Crazy Coqs, Live at Zedel following his sell out debut in October 2017 to celebrate the centenary of P.G. Wodehouse on Broadway and his fellow wordsmiths - 'the Men Who Made Musicals' in Play on Words at Soho's Brasserie Zedel from Monday 12 to Wednesday 14 February, 2018. The British tenor, a relative of author Sir Pelham Grenville Wodehouse, will be joined by special guests, to be announced in due course, with Simon Beck on piano and directed by Hugh Wooldridge at London's premier cabaret room.

Gateway Center for Performing Arts' Youth Theatre Company Opens Season with A LITTLE PRINCESS

Gateway Center for Performing Arts' Youth Theatre Company opens its 2017- 2018 Mainstage Season with the A Little Princess, featuring the classic story of Frances Hodgson Burnett set to music by award-winning composer Andrew Lippa and lyricist Brian Crawley. A Little Princess performs January 26th-28th, 2018, at Central Visual and Performing Arts High School.
