For the 3rd consecutive year, THE DIARY 21 PROJECT -- an Arts-In-Education collaboration of The Anne Frank Center USA, Vineyard Theatre and Young Playwrights Inc. designed to teach students literacy and tolerance through the arts, using Anne Frank's diary and legacy as inspiration -- will present a benefit performance of 'ARE WE WRITING LOUD ENOUGH?' on Monday, May 9 at 7 p.m. at the Vineyard Theatre (108 E. 15 St.) in Manhattan.

Twitter has provided the means for celebrities of all types to communicate with their fans in an intimate way -- one on one -- without needing to be face to face. It's wonderful how many of them have embraced the medium, and used it to let us into their worlds. It's even better when they reach out to thank us for our support, respond to questions, or engage in conversation. 140 characters at a time, I've developed a whole new set of online friends who are all on Broadway. The acknowledgement of us 'little people' makes me appreciate them in a bigger way, and makes me want to support them onstage in everything they do.

Songwriting duo Sam Carner and Derek Gregor-the team behind the award-winning NYMF hit Unlock'd-will showcase their songs on Tuesday, March 15, 2011 at 8pm in a concert titled Carner & Gregor's Barely Legal Showtune Extravaganza. Hosted by Hair's Andrew Kober and Avenue Q's Sarah Stiles, the event will bring together nine of the most-talented musical theatre students currently studying at schools across the U.S. The concert will take place at the new East Village venue DROM (85 Avenue A between 5th & 6th Streets).

Hannah Whitney will perform at Joe's Pub (425 Lafayette Street) on Saturday, February 12, 2011 at 11:30pm. The concert is directed by Anika Chapin, with musical direction by Alexander Rovang. Andrew Kober (Hair), who hosted the NYMF's Next Broadway Sensation competition finale, will make a special appearance at the concert.

Josh Lamon is truly living his dream. A self-admitted theater geek, Josh has spent the past few years making a name for himself on the boards, most recently in the Broadway cast of HAIR: The American Tribal Love-Rock Musical. Originally from San Diego, Josh can currently be seen as crowd favorite Margaret Mead in the First National Tour of the 2009 Tony Award winner for Best Revival of a Musical, which continues performances at the Segerstrom Center for the Arts through February 6. Josh recently chatted with BroadwayWorld's Michael Lawrence Quintos about life on tour and offers some inside dish on his HAIR-raising co-stars.
