ZACH Theatre has announced the addition of the Broadway hit and five-time Tony Award-winning play Peter and The Starcatcher to its 2014-2015 Season.

Atlantic Theater Company has announced full casting for Nancy Harris' play OUR NEW GIRL, directed by Gaye Taylor Upchurch. Lisa Joyce, Henry Kelemen and CJ Wilson will join previously-announced Atlantic Theater Company founding member Mary McCann for the US premiere production.

Expect the Unexpected. This was the tag line for Tennessee Performing Arts Center's announcement of their 2014-2015 HCA/TriStar Health Broadway at TPAC series this year. With strong connections to the theatre world and to the music industry, Nashville is the prime place to have a season full of fresh and edgy productions that are still on their first national tour, and TPAC is making that happen with their 2014-2015 season.

Discovery Channel announced today that it will broadcast a 90-minute documentary, titled EVEREST AVALANCHE TRAGEDY, on Sunday, May 4, at 9 PM ET/PT that will air around the world in 224 countries. It will include unprecedented access and eyewitness accounts from the rescue and recovery efforts that took place after the avalanche struck the Khumbu Icefall, the area just above Mt. Everest base camp, during the morning of Friday, April 18, killing 13 and leaving three missing. Members of an NBC News team were at base camp as they prepared to produce Discovery's live special, EVEREST JUMP LIVE scheduled to air Sunday, May 11, when the avalanche hit. The special would have featured climber Joby Ogwyn's attempt to make the first wing suit flight off the summit of the world's tallest mountain.

ROCKY, which opened Thursday, March 13th at the historic Winter Garden Theatre, stars Andy Karl as Rocky, Margo Seibert as Adrian (making her Broadway debut), and Terence Archie as Apollo Creed. Even the Broadway fans who have not yet made it to the Winter Garden Theatre have still heard all about the final, climactic fight sequence, and you can go behind the scenes of the epic finale below!

The Public Theater presents The Civilian's THE GREAT IMMENSITY on Friday, April 11. Written and directed by Steve Cosson with songs by Michael Friedman, THE GREAT IMMENSITY is a highly theatrical look into one of the most vital questions of our time: how can we change ourselves and our society in time to solve the enormous environmental challenges that confront us? Working Artists Theatre Project, in collaboration with the David Lynch Foundation, presents a staged play reading benefit of James McLure's companion comedies Lone Star and Laundry and Bourbon under the title 1959 Pink Thunderbird featuring a cast of Broadway talent. All proceeds will benefit the Operation Warrior Wellness Project in teaching War Veterans with PTSD Transendental Meditation.

11th Hour Theatre Company presents its only mainstage production of the season, the hilarious, boy-band "holy hit" musical Altar Boyz running May 15-June 1, 2014 at The Arts Bank at the University of the Arts. The highly celebrated New York troupe Fiasco Theater will make their Washington, DC debut with their production of William Shakespeare's clever comedy The Two Gentlemen of Verona at Folger Theatre. Directed by company members Jessie Austrian and Ben Steinfeld, The Two Gentlemen of Verona will play at the Folger from today, April 17 - May 25, 2014.

Discovery Channel announced today that it will broadcast five nights of live programs from Everest Base Camp beginning at 11 PM ET/PT on Monday, May 5 (weather permitting), leading up to the epic 2-hour event in which climber Joby Ogwyn will leap off the top of Mt. Everest. The event, titled EVEREST JUMP LIVE, will air live on the Discovery Channel in 224 countries and territories and simulcast on Science Channel and Discovery en Espanol in May and is produced by NBC News' Peacock Productions. Hosted by Kyle Martino of NBC Sports and Chris Jacobs, 'Everest: Live From Base Camp,' will take viewers behind-the-scenes of the most challenging and complicated live broadcast ever attempted.

Guthrie Director Joe Dowling today announced ten mainstage productions in his final season at the helm of the world renowned theater, culminating 20 years of remarkable leadership. The 2014-2015 lineup includes first-time Guthrie productions of plays by A.R.
