L.A.'s Australian Theatre Company, set to produce two Australian plays at the Matrix Theatre this June, has launched a crowdfunding campaign at generosity.com.

Internationally renowned theatre company Frantic Assembly has appointed Pete Staves as Executive Director and joint Chief Executive. Staves joins Frantic Assembly from his current position at Arts Council England and will take up his post in May 2016, working together with Artistic Director Scott Graham to bring the company's ambitious plans for the future to fruition.

Andrew Bovell's Helpmann Award winning adaptation of Kate Grenville's multiple award winning book, THE SECRET RIVER returns to the Sydney Theatre Company stage. The fictional work, based on history, challenges the audience to examine how they understand, misunderstand, react, interact and judge the things that are foreign and new to them.

It will receive its UK premiere at the Lyric Hammersmith from 10th September until 1st October 2016. The British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) and the BFI (British Film Institute) today announced that the latest in their prestigious series of lectures by the world's leading screenwriters will feature Britons Nick Hornby and Jimmy McGovern, Americans Nancy Meyers and Beau Willimon, and Australian Andrew Bovell. The lectures will take place in London between Wednesday 23 September and Saturday 3 October inclusive.
