The Broadway at Birdland Concert Series presented a reading of Stephen Cole and David Evans' musical fable, 'Merman's Apprentice' on Monday, June 15. Directed by Stephen Cole and Amy Burgess, the cast featured PJ Benjamin, Austin Colby, Eddie Korbich, Brian Charles Rooney, Klea Blackhurst, Bill Nolte, Desi Oakley, Sarah Sesler, Anita Gillette, Elizabeth Teeter and F. Michael Haynie, supported by a six piece band with orchestrations by Lynn Shankel. Scroll down for photos!

The August 2012 installment of NYTB in the D-Lounge features an excerpt from the new musical Carolina Breeze from writing team Joel Waggoner and Lori Mannette, as well as selections from the new musical Kingdom Come by Matt Webster. The monthly series is executive produced by Laura Brandel and Jason Najjoum.

SHOW ME REAL is conceived and choreographed by Clare Cook with original music and lyrics by Amy Burgess, dramatic text and lyrics by Gena Oppenheim, lighting design by Mike Inwood, and costume design by Liam O'Brien.
