On Monday, October 25, an array of actors will take part in the second edition of Songs You've Never Heard and Shows You've Never Heard Of at the Laurie Beechman Theatre. Show time is at 9:30 PM. All proceeds will benefit ASTEP (Artists Striving to End Poverty). Audiences can expect to hear highlights from Everyone's Waiting by Leah Miles and Donny Codden (graduates of NYU's Graduate Musical Theatre Writing program) and Love Trapezoid by 2009 Fred Ebb Award finalist Matt Schatz.

Scheduled to perform are Krysta Rodriguez (The Addams Family), Steven Boyer (I'm Not Rappaport), Andrew Durand (Spring Awakening, The Burnt Part Boys), Amy Burgess, Leo Ash Evens (West Side Story), Jim Poulos (Rent), Lance Rubin (Things to Ruin), Dana Steingold (The Battery's Down), and Alex Wyse (The Last Smoker in America) with a special guest performance from Jason "Sweettooth" Williams (Things to Ruin, Bloodsong of Love).

Larson Award-winning songwriter Joe Iconis (Things to Ruin, Bloodsong of Love) is set to host the concert, produced by Jason Haft with music direction by Molly Gachignard. Iconis will also debut new material.

Songs You've Never Heard and Shows You've Never Heard Of is a new concert series that showcases today's brightest and edgiest musical theatre writers as they debut their latest works. The first engagement played to a sold-out house at the Laurie Beechman Theatre in May.

ASTEP, conceived by Mary-Mitchell Campbell, uses the arts as a tool to empower young people with creativity, knowledge, and a strong sense of self-esteem, factors which help them advance their lives and communities. ASTEP provides artists with opportunities to connect with global youths, allowing them to use their gifts to create meaningful and effective change for young people in need.

The Laurie Beechman Theatre is located in the West Bank Café at 407 West 42nd Street. There is a $15 cover charge and a $15 food/drink minimum. For reservations, call 212-695-6909.
