Rob Sedgwick and Randy Kovitz will join the cast of Perfect Crime, the longest-running play in the history of New York theater, now playing at Times Square's Snapple Theater Center. Kovitz assumes the role of psychiatrist Harrison Brent on Sunday, July 26, 2009 and Sedgwick steps into the role of deranged patient Lionel McAuley on Monday, July 27, 2009.

Fresh off his lauded New York production of Farragut North, director Doug Hughes reunites much of his ensemble cast, including Juno's Olivia Thirlby, The Wire's Isiah Whitlock, Jr, Mia Barron, Dan Bittner and Justin Huen, at the Geffen Playhouse to join the previously announced Chris Noth and Chris Pine. Noth, best known for his longtime stint as Detective Mike Logan on Law & Order and as the (in)famous Mr.Big on Sex and the City, is a fellow cast member from the Atlantic Theater Company's NY production, while Pine, who is starring as the young Captain Kirk in the new film Star Trek and was recently seen in the Geffen's production of Neil LaBute's Fat Pig, is new to the LA production. Written by Beau Willimon, Farragut North was recently nominated for two Outer Critics Circle Awards including Outstanding New Off-Broadway Play.

Nina Foch, the Dutch actress best remembered as Milo Roberts, died today in her LA home. She was 84 years old.
Nina Foch was a major leading lady of the 1940s. The tall and blonde Foch usually played cool, aloof, and often foreign, women of sophistication. Yet Foch also proved to versatile in many areas, holding a role as a panelist on several TV quiz shows. She worked as George Stevens' assistant director for The Diary of Anne Frank (1959) and directed several plays.
