Bosco Awarded Purchase College Honorary Degree May 14

President Thomas J. Schwarz, will preside at the 38th Commencement ceremony at Purchase College State University of New York on Friday, May 14 at 1 PM on the West Lawn adjacent to The Performing Arts Center (735 Anderson Hill Road). Degrees will be awarded to approximately 1032 undergraduates and 55 graduate students.

Cavenaugh Joins Baldwin, Davis in Stravinsky's L'Histoire du Soldat May 2

Matt Cavenaugh joins Alec Baldwin and Daniel Davis in the New York Philharmonic Stravinsky's L'Histoire du Soldat (A Soldier's Tale) Sunday, May 2, 2010 as part of The Russian Stravinsky: A Philharmonic Festival conducted by Valery Gergiev, which runs April 21 to May 8th at Avery Fisher Hall. Walden Theatre Announces Young American Shakespeare Festival 2010

The first and largest Shakespeare Festival in the U.S. put on by and for young people returns with three more classics by the inimitable Bard. This year's line-up includes history play Henry V, comedy Love's Labour's Lost, and tragedy Timon of Athens.

Plans Fall Through for Connecticut Shakespeare Theater Renovation

After a vote on Monday evening, the Stratford Town Council has rejected a developer's plan to renovate the Shakespeare Theater in Stratford Connecticut. The 1,500 seat theater has been closed for over two decades, and was to be reopened by Bill Hanney, producer of the Theatre by the Sea in Matunuck, R.I.

Directed by DELICIA TURNER SONNENBERG, this rousing drama recounts the story of four lifelong friends who get together on Christmas Eve and end up making a bet with the devil in disguise. Performances begin in previews on Saturday, November 14, 2009, with an Opening Night performance on Friday, November 20 at 8pm and continue through December 13, 2009 at The Lyceum Theatre.
