Princeton Ballet School to Present SWAN LAKE, 5/21

Princeton Ballet School, the official school of American Repertory Ballet, will present the full-length classical ballet Swan Lake on May 21, 2016 at the Patriots Theater at the War Memorial in Trenton, NJ. Performances will be at 2:00 p.m and 7:00 p.m. These performances are the finale performances for the year for students at the school; tickets are onsale now at arballet.org

SFDanceworks' Inaugural Season at ODC Theater Set for June

SFDanceworks, a repertory dance company founded by San Francisco Ballet soloist James Sofranko, is proud to announce its inaugural season, co-presented in association with ODC Theater. Featured are three world premieres, including works by Dana Genshaft, Penny Saunders and Sofranko, with two additional pieces by Lar Lubovitch and Alejandro Cerrudo. SFDanceworks' inaugural season runs Thursday to Saturday, June 23 - 25 at ODC Theater. All performances start at 8 p.m. Tickets range from $20 to $45, and may be purchased online at odcdance.org/tickets.

ARB to Host April 2016 'On Pointe Discussion'

On Friday, April 22 at 5:15 p.m., American Repertory Ballet will host a free lecture, Dancing Your Way Into College!, as part of its On Pointe Series. This discussion will feature Princeton University's Director of Financial Aid, Robin Moscato, who will lead a discussion on how best to prepare for a college education that involves dance. This On Pointe is recommended for high school students and their parents.

American Repertory Ballet to Perform at McCarter Theatre, 4/8

 American Repertory Ballet will present Masters of Dance & Music on Friday, April 8, 2016 at 8 p.m. at McCarter Theatre in downtown Princeton, N.J. The program will feature the world premiere of Mary Barton's A Shepherd Singing (And I Still Heard Nothing), modern dance pioneer Jose Limon's There is a Time and Kirk Peterson's Glazunov Variations. Music for Mary Barton's world premiere - Beethoven's Symphony No. 7 - will be performed live by the Princeton University Orchestra under the direction of Maestro Michael Pratt.

ARB to Present SPRING INTO DANCE at UCPAC

American Repertory Ballet is pleased to announce Spring Into Dance, part of its 2016 spring series, at Union County Performing Arts Center's Hamilton Stage on Friday, April 1 at 7:30 p.m. Led by Artistic Director Douglas Martin, ARB will once again present the finest ballet available to the residents of New Jersey and beyond. Tickets are currently available.

American Repertory Ballet to Offer A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM Pre-show Children's Activity

American Repertory Ballet is pleased to announce it has scheduled a pre-show activity for children prior to its performance of A Midsummer night's Dream at Raritan Valley Community College on March 19. The activity will begin at 2 p.m., one hour prior to the start of the performance. Children can enjoy our dress-up and photo station in the lobby, trying on real costumes that range from wands to wings to elf hats! We'll have everything a woodland creature or fairy needs!

New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) located at 1 Center Street in Newark, New Jersey is proud to announce new exciting performances including Jersey (New) Moves, showcasing New Jersey's finest up and coming choreographers on Friday, June 17th at 8PM in the intimate Victoria Theater. Also scheduled to perform it's YouTube sensation, The Piano Guys who are four dads that became a Web sensation by way of their immensely successful series of strikingly unique, self-made music videos performing on Friday, December 9th at 8PM. Then the ever so popular Neil DeGrasse Tyson returns for a performance on Thursday, December 15, 2016 at 8PM. George Street Playhouse Partners with American Repertory Ballet for Pre-Show Talk at NUREYEV'S EYES Tonight

George Street Playhouse and American Repertory Ballet will co-host a discussion on the late ballet and film legend, Rudolf Nureyev, led by Princeton Ballet School Director Mary Pat Robertson, tonight, February 19, 2016. The discussion -- free and open to the public -- will take place at 7 p.m. at George Street Playhouse (9 Livingston Avenue) prior to that evening's 8 p.m. performance of NUREYEV'S EYES, on stage at GSP now through February 21.

Longtime Princeton Ballet School Director to Retire

American Repertory Ballet and Princeton Ballet School announce the retirement of school director Mary Pat Robertson. Ms. Robertson began teaching at Princeton Ballet School in 1980, and became director in 1986. She is only the third director in the school's 62-year history. While a nationwide search for a new director is underway, Ms. Robertson will continue in her position through June 2016 to ensure a smooth and successful transition.

Smuin Dancers Create Works for Fellow Artists, 1/29-30 at ODC Theater

Admired for their versatility on stage, Smuin Ballet dancers invite audiences to experience their talents as choreographers and more when Smuin Ballet presents its 2016 Choreography Showcase. This rare opportunity allows patrons to join Smuin dancers Cara Cooper, Erica Felsch, Rachel Furst, Nicole Haskins, Weston Krukow, Ben Needham-Wood, Susan Roemer, and Rex Wheeler in the intimate ODC Theater, to view a showcase of their own choreography set on fellow company members. These new works, set to a wide range of music, also feature original lighting and costumes.

Six Guest Artists Set for Connecticut Concert Ballet's NUTCRACKER

Married dancers David and Kristy DuBois perform the first weekend as the Nutcracker and the Sugar Plum Fairy bringing their real-life love to the stage. Darren McIntyre and Rebecca DeNies perform the same roles the following weekend with Darren also coming off of the Rosecliff Nutcracker production.
