Six Rahway Elementary School Students to Perform in American Repertory Ballet's THE NUTCRACKER

American Repertory Ballet (ARB), New Jersey's premier professional ballet company, will return to Rahway, N.J., this year with two performances of Nutcracker at Union County Performing Arts Center. ARB is celebrating its 54th year of this classic holiday ballet. Furthering its connection with the local Rahway community, American Repertory Ballet held auditions and selected local Rahway children ages 6-10 years old to perform alongside its professional dancers in Nutcracker on Saturday, November 19 at 2 p.m., and Sunday, November 20 at 1 p.m.

American Repertory Ballet Presents the Company Premiere of CARMEN

American Repertory Ballet proudly presents the company premiere of Carmen by celebrated choreographer Kirk Peterson at State Theatre New Jersey (15 Livingston Ave., New Brunswick) on Thursday, October 12 at 8:00 p.m. The piece, set to music by Rodion Shchedrin, will be played live by Rutgers Symphony Orchestra led by Kynan Johns.

Lynch Theatre of John Jay College of Criminal Justice (524 W. 59th Street).

American Repertory Ballet (ARB) opens its 2017-2018 season with a full evening of works celebrating 15 years of Mary Barton's choreography by showcasing three of her most recognized works in a program entitled Woman of Dance: Celebrating the Work of Mary Barton, today and Saturday, September 22 and 23, at 7:30 p.m. at Rider University's Bart Luedeke Center Theater (2083 Lawrenceville Rd., Lawrenceville).

This October, American Repertory Ballet (ARB) will present a new triple-bill program in New York City and in New Brunswick, N.J. The performance features work by American Repertory Ballet's Resident Choreographers Kirk Peterson and Mary Barton: Peterson's Carmen and The Eyes that Gently Touch and Barton's Straight Up with a Twist.

American Repertory Ballet Announces Free 'Meet the Dancers' ON POINTE Event

On Friday, September 15, 2017 at 5:15 p.m., American Repertory Ballet will host a FREE event, 'Meet the Dancers,' as part of its On Pointe Series. This casual get-together is an opportunity to meet Artistic Director Douglas Martin, Resident Choreographer and Ballet Master Mary Barton plus the 2017-2018 company of American Repertory Ballet.
