Alan Muraoka Directs All Asian-American Cast In LOVE! VALOUR! COMPASSION! At Cherry Lane 9/14

The National Asian American Theatre Company (NAATCO) will present a one-night-only all Asian-American performance of Terrence McNally's LOVE! VALOUR! COMPASSION!, directed by Alan Muraoka, on Monday, September 14 with a 6:00pm cocktail reception and a 7:00pm performance at the Cherry Lane Theatre (38 Commerce Street) to benefit NAATCO.

Tickets will go on sale for Sydney Theatre Company's A Streetcar Named Desire on August 12, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. Written by Tennessee Williams and directed by Liv Ullmann, the production will begin performances at the Kennedy Center Eisenhower Theater October 29 to November 21, 2009 and will feature STC Co-Artistic Director Cate Blanchett as Blanche DuBois, Joel Edgerton as Stanley and Robin McLeavy as Stella.

A touching homage to his father, Humor Abuse opens Philadelphia Theatre Company's 2009/2010 season at the Suzanne Roberts Theatre. Co-written by Pisoni and Erica Schmidt, who also directs the piece, Humor Abuse runs September 25-October 25.

Directed by Julianne Boyd, Streetcar stars three-time Tony Award nominee Marin Mazzie as Blanche DuBois and Christopher Innvar as Stanley Kowalski, and will play on the Mainstage through August 29th, 2009, with a Press Opening which took place Sunday, August 9 at 5pm.
