Erik Ehn's New Experimental Drama CLOVER Begins Tonight at La MaMa

La MaMa presents Clover, a new experimental theater drama about America's history of violence by Erik Ehn, directed by Glory Kadigan with original music by Maya Solovey and original puppet design & puppetry direction by Jeanette Oi-Suk Yew. Performances will be staged at the First Floor Theatre at La MaMa, 74a East 4th Street, New York, NY 10003 from tonight, December 1, through December 16, 2016.

Jewish Women's Theatre Names Millennial Fellows

Twelve talented millennial actors, writers, producers, and directors have been selected from a pool of nearly 50 applicants to take part in the Jewish Women's Theatre's (JWT) NEXT @ The Braid Arts Council, a new initiative made possible by a $150,000 Cutting Edge Grant from the Jewish Community Foundation of Los Angeles (The Foundation), with $15,000 in additional funding recently awarded by the Erwin Rautenberg Foundation, which consults with The Foundation on its grantmaking.

Florence Henderson, Stage and Brady Bunch Star, Dies at 82

The Associated Press reports that Florence Henderson has passed away at the age of 82. Best known for her work on The Brady Bunch, Henderson was also a veteran of the stage. She made her Broadway debut at the age of 18 and played Laurey in the 1953 revival of Oklahoma! at City Center as well as the title role of Fanny at the Majestic Theatre in 1954.

Larysa Plawan Levycky Releases Historical Fiction DESTINY

Author Larysa Plawan Levycky wanted the world to know how much German aristocrats have contributed to agriculture and cultural development of Eastern Ukraine and how during Josef Stalin's regime, German aristocrats were persecuted. It prompted her in writing the historical fiction titled 'Destiny' (published by Trafford Publishing).

'PINK HULK' One-Woman Show Coming to Charm City Fringe Festival

Award-winning The Pink Hulk: One Woman's Journey to Find the Superhero Within, written and starring professional actor and playwright Valerie David, will have performances Nov. 9, 11, 12 and 13 as part of the fifth annual Charm City Fringe Festival in Baltimore.

Independent Music Awards Nominates Cristina Morrison's BARONESS for Best Jazz Album

Baronesa, the most recent work of singer/actress/songwriter Cristina Morrison, has been nominated for an Independent Music Award as Best Vocal Jazz Album. Gripping Adaptation of John Fowles' THE COLLECTOR Opens Off-Broadway

59E59 Theaters hosts the NY premiere of THE COLLECTOR, adapted from John Fowles' novel by Mark Healy, directed by Lisa Milinazzo. Produced by Nine Theatricals and Roebuck Theatrical, THE COLLECTOR plays a limited engagement through Sunday, November 13. Press opening is tonight, November 1 at 7:30 PM.
