The Alchemy Theatre, in association with LAByrinth Theater Company, are presenting 'Sweet Storm' by Scott Hudson, who was recently awarded the Daryl Roth 2009 Creative Spirit Award, Off Broadway at The Kirk Theatre (Theatre Row), 410 West 42nd Street, NYC. The opening was June 17 and due to critical and popular demand the show has now been extended an additional week until July 12.

The Scenic & Costume Designer is Lea Umberger; the Lighting Designer is Sarah Sidman and the Sound Designer is Elizabeth Rhodes. The Casting Director is Judy Bowman Casting and Production Supervisor: La Vie Productions. Running time = 90 minutes with no intermission

Guys and Dolls will close on Broadway on June 14th, the show will have played 28 previews and 113 performances. Guys and Dolls stars Oliver Platt ('Nathan Detroit'), Lauren Graham ('Miss Adelaide'), Craig Bierko ('Sky Masterson') and Kate Jennings Grant ('Sarah Brown'). The first joint Broadway project by two-time Tony Award winning director Des McAnuff and choreographer Sergio Trujillo since their collaboration on the Tony Award winning musical Jersey Boys, Guys and Dolls began previews on February 5th, 2009 at Broadway's newly refurbished Nederlander Theatre (208 West 41st Street). LAByrinth Theater Company has announced that Artistic Directors John Ortiz, Philip Seymour Hoffman and John Gould Rubin pass their voluntary positions of service into the hands of fellow artists and LAB members Stephen Adly Guirgis, Mimi O'Donnell and Yul Vázquez. The three new Artistic Directors are joined by Marieke Gaboury, who fills the position of Producing Director.

Sunset Boulevard at the West End's intimate Comedy Theatre closes today May 30, 2009. UK theatre sources are reporting that plans are in the works to launch a UK tour in early 2010 as well as some talk of bringing the production to New York, but no official announcement has yet been made.
