BWW Review: THE DOUBLE at The Blue Room

Bow & Dagger's tale of a sci-fi identity crisis The Double proves that The Blue Room is where the zeitgeist lives. Writer/director Clare Testoni and her team of intrepid collaborators take us into their fears for our future as they tell the story of a woman who sells her likeness to a tech company for monetary gain and the promise of a career in film.

Common Ground Theatre Presents SIX DEGREES OF SEPARATION this October

Common Ground Threatre and Ghost & Spice Productions presents Six Degrees of Separation, a play written by John Guare and directed by Rachel Klem, throughout the month of October. A young African American man claiming to be Sidney Poitier's son cons an Upper East Side couple. He sets in motion a series of events that will alter the course of their lives forever. Inspired by a true story, the play is both a laugh-out-loud comedy and a biting social commentary about the separation between the ‘haves and the ‘have-nots. Winner of the 1993 New York Critic's Circle Award.

Delta Boys & Burning Coal Present THE CHERRY ORCHARD 3/19-29

Delta Boys, a small theatre company in Raleigh, NC, will be teaming up with Burning Coal Theatre's Wait 'Til You See This! series to present Anton Chekov's classic The Cherry Orchard, directed by Kathryn Milliken. The production runs March 19-29, 2009 at Meymandi Theatre at the Murphey School, 224 Polk St., Raleigh, NC.
