South Coast Repertory turns classic fairy tales inside out for the season's final Theatre for Young Audiences production: The Stinky Cheese Man and Other Fairly Stupid Tales. John Glore adapted the play from the book by Jon Scieszka and Lane Smith. The show, with a host of wacky characters and silly songs, is directed by Jessica Kubzansky and runs today, May 23-June 8 on the Julianne Argyros Stage.

An hour and a half east of L.A. in Rancho Cucamonga, The MainStreet Theatre Company puts on a Theatre for Young Audiences (TYA) season at Lewis Family Playhouse. Of that season, one of the shows is specifically chosen for the very youngest audience members and this year it's The Musical Adventures of Flat Stanley.

Waller, Timothy Allen McDonald and Stephen Gabriel, is based on the Book FLAT STANLEY by Jeff Brown and will be directed by Kevin Cochran at the Lewis Family Playhouse in Rancho Cucamonga, February 1-16, 2014. Kevin Cochran is the director, with choreography by Lisa Hopkins and Musical Direction by Janice Rodgers Wainwright. The production will play two school performances today, January 31st, and open to the public on Saturday, February 1st at 4pm. The strictly limited engagement will run through Sunday, February 16 only.

MainStreet has gathered a multi-talented team of Los Angeles artists, led by director Jessica Kubzansky, to bring this riveting story deliciously to life. The Phantom Tollbooth opens today, March 30th and runs through April 14th.

MainStreet has gathered a multi-talented team of Los Angeles artists, led by director Jessica Kubzansky, to bring this riveting story deliciously to life. The Phantom Tollbooth opens March 30th and runs through April 14th with performances Saturdays at 1:00 pm and 4:00 pm and Sundays at 1:00 pm (no performance March 31st).

The book is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, and The MainStreet Theatre Company was awarded a grant from the National Endowment of the Arts to help support the production. Performances run from tonight, May 5th through May 20th at Rancho Cucamonga's Lewis Family Playhouse in the Victoria Gardens Cultural Center. The adaptation is by John Glore, and it will be directed by Robert Castro.
