Ruddy Productions Presents ORION

RUDDY PRODUCTIONS is pleased to announce the world premiere production of ORION, written by Matthew MacLachlan (ADULTish) and directed by Joshua Warr(Sing No Evil; Joshing Around).  ORION will play a limited engagement at The Studio Theatre at Theatre Row (410 West 42nd Street, New York, NY 10036). Performances begin Tuesday, February 14 and continue throughSaturday, March 4. Opening Night is Tuesday, February 14(7:00 p.m.).

The Smith Center Shines Spotlight on Local Teachers at Inaugural Heart of Education Awards

On Saturday, May 7, The Smith Center for the Performing Arts honored educators from the Las Vegas valley as it hosted The Heart of Education Awards.  The special event powered by The Rogers Foundation recognized hundreds of Clark County School District (CCSD) teachers who have gone above and beyond for their students and have greatly contributed to their education, livelihood and betterment.

Pulitzer-Winning Play ALISON'S HOUSE Opens Tonight at Metropolitan Playhouse

The Obie Award-winning Metropolitan Playhouse offers the first uncut revival of Susan Glaspell's 1931 Pulitzer winning ALISON'S HOUSE since its debut. Directed by Artistic Director Alex Roe at the Playhouse (220 E 4th Street, New York City), the production runs now through December 13, 2015. Opening night is set for tonight, November 20.

Boomerang Theatre Company's CYMBELINE Begins Tonight

Boomerang Theatre Company will present a revival of William Shakespeare's CYMBELINE in Central Park. This production celebrates Boomerang's 17th summer of producing free theatre in parks throughout New York City. The production is directed by Cailin Heffernan. CYMBELINE plays a four week limited engagement in Central Park (71st Street and Central Park West), with general lawn seating. Performances begin tonight, June 20th and continue through July 19th. Performances are free, and no tickets are required.

RAW Readings presented by Theatre Now New York are FREE. New York, New York - Theatre Now New York, in association with Sari Weisman, will open its Raw Reading Series with a FREE reading of SPEAK OF THE DEVIL by Richard F. Stockton, revised by Marsha Lee Sheiness, and directed by Robert Kalfin, Sunday, February 8, 2015 at 3:00PM at 520 8th Avenue, 3rd floor, in Manhattan. A wine and cheese reception with the artists will follow.

STAGES Presents ONCE UPON A MATTRESS This Weekend

Stages, A Children's Theatre Workshop, Inc., brings back a Once Upon a Mattress to Bay Street. Fifty-four years ago, Once Upon a Mattress, a romantic and hilarious musical version of 'The Princess and the Pea', opened on Broadway to the delight of theatergoers young and old. It won the hearts of its audiences with an inventive and raucous twist on the old story. Stages, is excited to present this fractured fairy tale at the Bay Street Theatre today, May 10, at 2pm and 7:30pm; and Sunday, May 11, at 2pm. And in celebration of Mother's Day on May 11, all mothers will be Queen-for-a-day, with a crown compliments of Stages.
