CABARET Opens 1/23 at Broward Stage Door Theatre

One of Broadway's most beloved musicals will open at the Broward Stage Door Theatre on January 23rd. Cabaret, the Kander and Ebb classic will run at the Coral Springs theatre through March 15th.

Operalia 2014 Winners Announced

Last night, after a week of competition that brought 40 young singers from 17 nations to Los Angeles, Placido Domingo announced that Rachel Willis-Sorensen, an American soprano, and Mario Chang, a Guatemalan tenor, took the top prizes tonight in the 22nd edition of Operalia, the World Opera Competition. Hosted by LA Opera at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, the weeklong contest culminated tonight in a Gala Finals Concert-featuring the LA Opera Orchestra conducted by Mr. Domingo at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion-which was streamed live on Medici TV.

LA Children's Chorus Presents US Debut of Cuban Choir SINE NOMINE in Pasadena Tonight

The famed Los AngeLes Children's Chorus (LACC) presents the highly anticipated US debut of Cuba's premiere men's choir Camerata Vocale Sine Nomine, led by eminent Cuban choral conductor Leonor Suarez Dulzaides, in a free concert tonight, February 15, 2014, 7:00 pm, at Pasadena Presbyterian Church, launching the nine-member Havana-based choir's first state-side tour.

Open Sessions Announces 2014-16 Artists; First Exhibit to Open 3/6

The Drawing Center has announced the selected artists for Open Sessions. A two-year program open to artists working in a variety of disciplines, Open Sessions will offer exhibition opportunities in The Drawing Center's Lab Space and other venues, as well as studio visits, public programs, and informal gatherings. These programs will be cooperatively organized by Open Sessions Curators Nova Benway and Lisa Sigal and groups of the participating artists, with support from Open Sessions Fellows Kamrooz Aram, Nathan Carter, Emilie Clark, and E.V.
