A CHARITY CASE starring Two-Time Tony Nominee Alison Fraser, Alysia Reiner (Sideways) and Jill Shackner (Les Miserables) opened last night, November 2nd at The Clurman Theatre (410 West 42nd Street- between 9th and 10th Avenues). A Charity Case opened Off-Broadway at the Clurman Theatre and gives us an insightful look into the private lives of a 17-year old adopted daughter who is torn between her biological mother, adoptive mother, and finding her own identity somewhere in between.

Two-Time Tony Nominee Alison Fraser and Jill Shackner join previously announced actress Alysia Reiner in A CHARITY CASE. This new play about adoption by Australian playwright and director Wendy Beckett, will open Wednesday, November 2nd at Off Broadway's Clurman Theatre (410 West 42nd Street - between 9th and 10th Avenues). The play, which is also directed by Ms. Beckett, begins previews Friday, October 28th. The play is produced by Peter Walters for Pascal Productions. A CHARITY CASE is third in a series of Ms. Beckett's plays that Pascal Productions will produce in New York.

United 93 Actor to visit Flight 93 Temporary Memorial

David Alan Basche and his wife, award-winning actress Alysia Reiner (Sideways, Speed Grieving) will visit the Flight 93 Temporary memorial tomorrow afternoon at 4 pm. Basche played Todd Beamer in the award-winning movie United 93 and said in an interview with the Mountain Playhouse recently that he learned everything he knows about the September 11th attacks from his experience of working on the movie.

David Alan Basche, who played Todd Beamer in the award-winning movie, United 93 will star in the Friends of Flight 93 Benefit reading of The Guys at the Mountain Playhouse. Todd Beamer was the passenger on board Flight 93 who is famous for his last words 'Let's roll.' The readings of The Guys will occur at three performances over June 18 and June 19 and all ticket revenue will benefit the Flight 93 National Memorial project.
