YLT's 2011-12 Season opening production will be The Spell of Sleeping Beauty, a family-friendly children's series production sure to delight audiences of all ages with its cartoonish twist to the traditional fairy tale.

The Broadway production of the hit musical comedy THE ADDAMS FAMILY will end its run at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre (205 West 46th St.) December 31 after 725 performances and 34 previews. Since beginning previews on March 8 2009, THE ADDAMS FAMILY has been seen by more than 748,000 people. Prior to Broadway, THE ADDAMS FAMILY played an 8 week engagement at the Oriental Theatre in Chicago, where it grossed more than $12 million, making it the most successful Broadway tryout in Chicago's history. The national tour of THE ADDAMS FAMILY launches on Sept 15 at the Mahalia Jackson Theatre for the Performing Arts in New Orleans and is booked in more than 30 cities through 2012. Productions of THE ADDAMS FAMILY are set to open in Sao Paulo, Brazil in the spring of 2012 and Sydney, Australia in spring 2013, with several more international productions to be announced soon.

BROADWAY BARES XXI: MASTERPIECE, which is produced by and benefits Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, was held, June 19, with two performances only (9:30 PM and midnight) at Roseland Ballroom (239 West 52nd Street). Broadwayworld.com as confirmed that Jordin Sparks is expected to return to Broadway's IN THE HEIGHTS on September 2. As reported previously, Sparks suffered a hip injury during Act 1 of the August 28 performance and has been sitting out since.

The star posted on Twitter last night after being injured in the show that 'Got my 1st broadway injury tonight. Hurt my hip in the first act. But I finished the show! Thank you so much to everyone who came tonight. Sorry I couldn't sign. :( It's hard to stand/walk.
