New York's Public Theater announced today that the Tony Award-winning revival of HAIR: The American Tribal Love-Rock Musical, which returns to Broadway for a 10-week only ‘Summer of Love' run, is going back to its free theatre roots by giving away 100 tickets for the show's first performance on Tuesday, July 5th to the first 100 lucky fans in line at the St. James Theatre. Tickets (1 per person) will be distributed at 1:00 PM on July 5. Fans waiting in line are encouraged to dress in their best HAIR inspired hippie attire; just before tickets are distributed at 1:00 PM, cast members will select the best dressed male and female winners, who will win a walk-on role in a future performance of HAIR, along with five tickets so that their family and friends can watch them join the tribe. Tickets may be anywhere in the theatre and are non-transferrable. HAIR will officially open at the St. James Theatre on Wednesday, July 13th and play through September 10, 2011.

The 2009 Tony Award-winning Musical Revival HAIR: The American Tribal Love-Rock Musical directed by Diane Paulus is headed back to Broadway for a limited run at the St. James Theater (currently home to AMERICAN IDIOT). The show will play from July 5 - September 10, before heading back onto the road.

The Public Theater's new Tony-winning production of HAIR is now on tour, will next play Boston's Colonial Theatre March 21- April 10. HAIR won the 2009 Tony Award for Best Musical Revival as well as the Drama Desk, Drama League, and Outer Critics Circle award for Outstanding Revival of a Musical. The HAIR cast recording was also nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Musical Show Album.

Josh Lamon is truly living his dream. A self-admitted theater geek, Josh has spent the past few years making a name for himself on the boards, most recently in the Broadway cast of HAIR: The American Tribal Love-Rock Musical. Originally from San Diego, Josh can currently be seen as crowd favorite Margaret Mead in the First National Tour of the 2009 Tony Award winner for Best Revival of a Musical, which continues performances at the Segerstrom Center for the Arts through February 6. Josh recently chatted with BroadwayWorld's Michael Lawrence Quintos about life on tour and offers some inside dish on his HAIR-raising co-stars.
