The prestigious 50th annual Fleur du Cap Theatre Awards is drawing closer. The highly anticipated ceremony will be directed by Christopher Weare and will be held, for the first time, in the beautiful Artscape Opera House on the Foreshore in Cape Town, on Sunday 15 March at 18h00. Comedian Alan Committie will MC the event for the sixth time.

ORPHEUS IN AFRICA is all set to be a grand, old-fashioned classic musical in the Rodgers and Hammerstein tradition. Kramer has unearthed a fantastic historical footnote and found the reason that this story deserves to be raised into our consciousness more than a century after Orpheus McAdoo's death in 1900.

Willy Russell's iconic musical BLOOD BROTHERS, which has been adapted and directed by David Kramer and has wowed South Africa since it first opened in Cape Town last year, will celebrate its 150th performance on Thursday 1 May 2014. To celebrate this momentous milestone in the show's journey, the Fugard Theatre, where the production is running until Sunday 25 May 2014, is offering the first 30 people who call in to book with the reference "Blood Brothers 150", tickets for R100 each (limited to 4 per person) as well as a glass of bubbly on arrival.

The final week of performances is January 11-15, 2011. Tickets are R79 per person.
