The Aspen Chamber Resort Association awarded Theatre Aspen a Business of the Year Award at today's 2013 Wintersköl Luncheon awards ceremony. The honor recognizes a non-profit organization that has developed a close partnership with the Roaring Fork Valley community as a means to achieve its mission. There are over six hundred non-profits in the Roaring Fork Valley.

The Broadway Boys will perform on TODAY as one of Kathie Lee Gifford's 'favorite things' during the 10-11am hour today, December 10th. They will be singing 'Hark!' and discussing their benefit BROADWAY SINGS FOR TOYS, which will be held later that same day.

The new Broadway musical Scandalous: The Life and Trials of Aimee Semple McPherson will play its final performance at the Neil Simon Theatre (250 West 52nd Street) today, December 9 at 3 p.m.

Kathie Lee Gifford discussed the closing of her new Broadway musical SCANDALOUS on the Today show on NBC. 'So many of the brand new shows this fall really, really have struggled and are posting closings,' she lamented. Theatre Aspen's Board of Trustees will host an intimate panel discussion on November 8th, featuring distinguished leaders in the theatrical field. The event will be held in conjunction with the Colorado theatre's quarterly board meeting, being held for the first time in New York City. The event will be held at Ars Nova, a non-profit theatre known for developing exciting new artists, and is by invitation only.
