Photo Coverage: 'THE NEIL SIMON PLAYS' Cast Meets The Press

The first Broadway revivals of BRIGHTON BEACH MEMOIRS and BROADWAY BOUND, two of Simon's beloved semi-autobiographical 'Eugene Jerome' plays will be directed by David Cromer (Our Town) and will play the beautifully restored Nederlander Theatre (208 West 41st Street). Rehearsals began in New York on Monday, August 24th and the cast and creative team took a moment to meet and greet the press. BroadwayWorld.com's cameras were there to mingle with the talented theatrical team!

Tickets go on sale on Friday, August 7 for THE Neil Simon PLAYS, new productions of BRIGHTON BEACH MEMOIRS and BROADWAY BOUND. Specially priced preview tickets for $50-$35 (not including Saturday evening performances) will be available for both plays if ordered by September 6. Regular priced tickets are $100-$65. Producers Emanuel Azenberg and Ira Pittelman are pleased to announce that THE NEIL SIMON PLAYS, new productions of Neil Simon's BRIGHTON BEACH MEMOIRS and BROADWAY BOUND, will play Broadway's beautifully restored Nederlander Theatre (208 West 41st Street). RIALTO CHATTER: Riedel Reveals Redgraves Ready for Revival of 'NIGHT MUSIC'

The New York Post's Michael Riedel is reporting in his 'On Broadway' column this morning that the mother and daughter team of Vanessa Redgrave and Natasha Richardson had such a wonderful time performing in the Roundabout gala benefit reading of Stephen Sondheim's 'A Little Night Music' last month that they're up for a full-fledged revival on Broadway next year.

After an amazing run from Off-Broadway sleeper to Tony Award winning Best Musical Spring Awakening ended its run on Broadway last night, Sunday, January 18, following the 7pm performance. After the cast gave the final bows, it was time to celebrate the music, memories and magic that was Spring Awakening. Current cast members, show alumni and the creative team headed to Bond 45 on 45th St. to get the bittersweet yet joyous festivites started and 'not do sadness', BroadwayWorld tagged along to join in the emotional closing night party. When Spring Awakening closed, it had played 859 performances and 29 previews. Its eight 2007 Tony? Awards, including Best Musical, made Spring Awakening one of the biggest Tony winners in the past decade. In addition to the Tony Award wins, Spring Awakening won four Drama Desk Awards, three Outer Critics Circle Awards, and the NY Drama Critics Award for Best Musical, the Drama League award for Distinguished Production of a Musical, and the 2008 Grammy Award for Best Musical Show Album, among other notable citations.
