Students were engaged and challenged as they learned original Jerome Robbins choreography in a morning dance class, led by West Side Story's dance captain Marina Lazzaretto, on Saturday, December 19. Lazzaretto encouragingly taught a section from the iconic show number "Cool," where students gave it their all. Students were faced with the objective of emoting anger and despair, providing the dancers in "Cool" the opportunity to burst their pent up energy. The master class concluded with a Musical Theatre Song Interpretation session with Broadway favorite Matt Cavenaugh (West Side Story, A Catered Affair, Grey Gardens, Urban Cowboy, and more!)
