At Saturday night's 12th annual Midsummer Night Drinks hundreds of friends and supporters gathered at Woodhouse Park, the stunning East Hampton home of Tony Ingrao and Randy Kemper, for a wonderful evening of fun, food and cocktails, all benefiting God's Love We Deliver. This signature event supports one of New York City's most beloved charities, the only organization of its kind that cooks and home delivers nutritious meals to clients living with severe illnesses, their children and senior caregivers.

On June 18, Robert Nicotra & John Dapolito presented Let's Kill Grandma This Christmas- A Contagious Laughter Production, at Manhattan Theatre Club Studios. The new comedy by Brian Gianci featured casting by Judy Bowman, and is aiming for an Off-Broadway run this winter.

The Museum of Modern Art will acquire two landmark paintings from the 1950s and a group of seven sculptures ranging in date from 1954 to 2005 by Cy Twombly, widely regarded as one of today's most important living artists, announces MoMA Director Glenn D. Lowry. All of the works are from the artist's personal collection, and the sculptures will be the first by Twombly to enter MoMA's collection. With these additions to the eight paintings and numerous works on paper by Twombly, the Museum will immeasurably strengthen its holdings of works by Twombly, representing all six decades of the artist's career.

The Dark Lady Players, the world's only allegorical Shakespeare company, presents Hamlet's Apocalypse, a black comedy showing that Hamlet is a comic parody of the Book of Revelation (the last book of the Christian Bible which predicts the coming of Doomsday). Direction is by Jenny Greeman, whose production of Screenplay won the 'Outstanding Production Award' at the 2010 Midtown International Theater Festival. This production opens on 7 November for three nights at 8pm at Manhattan Theatre Source, 177 MacDougal Street, New York NY 10011. Tickets $18, reservations 866-811-4111.

LION KING's Tavarez to Receive Lifesaving Leukemia Treatment

According to a report by the Daily News, 11 year old Shannon Taverez will be recieving a umbilical-cord transplant next week to combat her acute myeloid leukemia. The soprano from Queens recently played Young Nala in The Lion King on Broadway. Serving as an alternative to a bone-marrow transplant, Shannon will receive the umbilical-cord blood from an anonymous donor, as doctors were unable to find a bone marrow match.
