Algonquin Hotel Lobby Features the Art of Al Hirschfeld, Starting Today

This month, one of New York's most iconic hotels celebrates one of New York's most iconic artists in a unique art installation. The Algonquin Hotel Celebrates The Hirschfeld Century, will be presented in the legendary lobby of the Algonquin Hotel today, November 19, 2015 through March 31, 2016.

Mint Theater's FASHIONS FOR MEN Opens This Weekend

Mint Theater today announced the cast for their next production, Fashions For Men by Ferenc Molnar: Mark Bedard, Joe Delafield, Jeremy Lawrence, Rachel Napoleon, Annie Purcell, Kurt Rhoads, Michael Schantz, Maren Searle, John Seidman, Jill Tanner, John Tufts, and Gabra Zackman. Performances began February 3rd and continue through March 29th. Opening Night is Sunday March 1st (7pm) at Mint's home (311 West 43rd Street).

The Players to Celebrate 125th Anniversary with NYE Gala

One Hundred and Twenty-Five years ago this New Year's Eve, America's most celebrated actor, Edwin Booth gave the Deed of 16 Gramercy Park South to The Players. The Players tradition has been to read the deed in front of the Great Hall fire place echoing back to Edwin Booth and the Founding Members. This year, this tradition continues along with live music, dancing, and more festivities as The Players kicks off a new era, sharing a toast to its founders and celebrating 125 years at 'A Certain Club.'

Food For Though New Production Season

DESCRIPTION: FOOD FOR THOUGHT PRODUCTIONS, the Award-Winning Theatre Company, is returning to its former home at the Players in Gramercy Park for another exciting season this fall. The opening show on Wednesday, October 31st will feature excerpts from 'THE ROUND TABLE' written by award-winning playwright Susan Charlotte and Oscar, Tony and Emmy Award winner Peter Stone, starring Penny Fuller and directed by Antony Marsellis. The play, which revolves around the lives of Dorothy Parker, George Kaufman, Robert Benchley, Robert Sherwood and Alexander Woollcott, is both entertaining and poignant, capturing the wit and the sadness of this very special time at the Algonquin Hotel. Another exciting addition to this program is Anne Kaufman, the daughter of George Kaufman. This unique program will be followed by a Q and A.

Rover Dramawerks Presents THE GIRLS IN 509, Now thru 9/15

Rover Dramawerks presents the hilarious comedy The Girls in 509 by Howard Teichmann at the Cox Building Playhouse, 1517 H Avenue in Plano. Performances are tonight, August 23 - September 15, with shows on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays at 8:00 p.m., with an additional matinee performance on Saturday, September 1 at 2:00 p.m.
