Cartoon Network today announced the categories and nominees for their first-ever sports awards show, Cartoon Network Hall of Game Awards (HallofGame.com).

The Onion Sports Network has recently created a musical spoof that is worth a look. The news parody site explores what a musical written, directed, choreographed and starring Yankees star Alex Rodriguez might turn out like. Check out the hysterical musical below!

The Column Awards, a 501(c)3 nonprofit honoring excellence in theater in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, presented its 11th annual awards last night in Carpenter Hall at the Irving Arts Center. Uptown Players and Plaza Theatre Company tied for most wins with 10 each. In all, 17 theaters companies shared 62 awards, divided between Equity and non-Equity productions.

Directed by Filipino stage director Jerianne Banson, RENT is part of the 'In Performance' Series at Fort Mason, which has been getting support from the Grants for the Arts/San Francisco Hotel Tax Fund, and the Williams and Flora Hewlett Foundation. The show runs 'til Sunday, February 21, 2010.

Filipino siblings Enrico and Jerianne Banson are producing Jonathan Larson's Tony and Pulitzer Prize-winning musical RENT at the Southside Theatre, Fort Mason Center, Building D in San Francisco, California via The Royal Underground Theatre Company, a JERICA Productions subsidiary. Their production of the popular rock musical opened last January 21, 2010 and runs until February 21, 2010.
