The 2010 Gay Days at Disneyland presented by Undergear are set to take place Friday, October 1 to Sunday, October 3. For its 13th year, the event is expected to attract more than 30,000 LGBT park-hoppers from California and all over the country.

The third annual 'NewNowNext Awards,' held at The Edison in Los Angeles, California, have been announced, PR Newswire reports. Niecy Nash and Cheyenne Jackson hosted the show, with appearances and performances by Paula Abdul, Mena Suvari, Kelly Osbourne, Peter Gallagher, Ryan McPartlin, Johnny Weir, Aisha Tyler, Kristin Cavallari, RuPaul, Snooki and Mike 'The Situation' Sorrentino, Janice Dickinson, Perez Hilton, Alec Mapa, Candis Cayne, Lolene, Ross Mathews,Kylie Minogue, Jesus Luz, the drag queens of 'RuPal's Drag Race,' and Jessica and Hunter. The event celebrates new and emerging talent in pop culture.

Yesterday, June 8, the third annual 'NewNowNext Awards' were held at The Edison in Los Angeles, California. Production has begun on 'Sharpay's Fabulous Adventure,' a Disney Channel Original Movie directed by Emmy Award-winning director Michael Lembeck ('Tooth Fairy,' 'Santa Clause 2' and 'Santa Clause 3.'). Ashley Tisdale stars as the scene-stealing drama queen Sharpay Evans in the role she made so popular in the 'High School Musical' TV movies and feature film. 'Sharpay's Fabulous Adventure' is scheduled to premiere in 2011 on Disney Channel.

Deadline.com has reported that Disney is beginning production on 'Sharpay's Fabulous Adventure,' a spin-off from the popular 'High School Musical.' According to the report, the film deals with Sharpay Evans (Ashley Tisdale), who attempts to make it on Broadway; however, her dog gets a job before she does.

The national touring company of Rodgers & Hammerstein's 'South Pacific' will be led by opera notables Rod Gilfry (May 27- June 20) and David Pittsinger (June 22- July 17) who share the role of Emile de Becque, and Carmen Cusack (Nellie Forbush), with Anderson Davis (Lt. Cable), Matthew Saldivar (Luther Billis), Keala Settle (Bloody Mary), Gerry Becker (Capt. Brackett), Peter Rini (Cmdr. Harbison), Sumie Maeda (Liat), Rusty Ross (Professor), original 2008 Broadway cast member Genson Blimline (Stewpot), Christina Carrera (Ngana) and CJ Palma (Jerome).

The Blank Theatre Company's second production of its 19th season, Why Torture Is Wrong, and the People Who Love Them by Christopher Durang will end its run this Saturday, March 14th. Directed by The Blank's Artistic Director Daniel Henning, Why Torture is Wrong began preview performances on Saturday, January 30, 2010 and opened on Saturday, February 6.
