Everyman & Playhouse to Present HAMMER, THE ODYSSEY & More This Autumn

Director Walter Meierjohann has announced the cast of the world premiere of The Funfair, the first HOME production in its brand new home at First Street in Manchester. An adaptation by Olivier Award-winning playwright Simon Stephens of Ödon von Horvath's classic 1932 play Kasimir and Karoline, the production features a cast of 13 actors and actor-musicians.

New York is the home of some of the most renowned and exemplary dance companies in the world, such as New York City Ballet and American Ballet Theater. It is quite easy for New York balletomanes to fall into the habit of seeing the same iconic and large-scale works year after year. While there is nothing wrong with seeing particular dancers perform well-known works with their respective companies repeatedly, it is quite refreshing to see some of these New York based dancers perform new works on a much smaller scale.

Writer Frank D'Ambra Signs with Star Biz Entertainment, Inc.

Up and coming writer and producer, Frank D'Ambra, has just signed with Star Biz Entertainment, Inc. to represent him as Agent as well as assist in finding investors for film productions and television, theatrical companies for plays, and much more. Born in the Bronx, Frank attended college at CCNY where he studied film and drama and displayed a talent in creative writing classes. His aspirations to pursue his writing began after he tried to make the New York Giants football team but was not signed. This sparked Frank's first written work titled 'The Invincible Summer' inspired by the writings of Albert Camus and centering on an unlikely football hero. Frank has won several notable festival screenplay awards while getting much recognition with producers and production companies from across the United States. His jukebox musical comedy 'Black and White' has become a sought after project for theatrical versions around the world and Star Biz is beginning discussions with actors and studios for the movie version. Current screenplay projects 'Three of a Kind' and 'Winning Streak' and currently being shopped and are receiving great interest from film studios and television networks. Star Biz Entertainment, Inc. President and CEO, Kathy Salsberry, will serve as Producer on these. Some awards to his credit include: Winner - Best Screenplay Award for Action/Drama 'Annihilation' at The Pocono Mountain Film Festival in PA. October 2010 Winner - Seven Summits Award for Jukebox Musical Comedy 'Black and White' screenplay at The Mountain Film Festival in CA.
