WONDERLAND Announces Complete Broadway Cast

WONDERLAND - A New Alice. A New Musical has confirmed complete casting: Janet Dacal (In The Heights) as Alice, Darren Ritchie (Little Shop of Horrors, Thoroughly Modern Millie) as White Knight, E. Clayton Cornelious as Caterpillar, Jose Llana (Spelling Bee, Flower Drum Song) as El Gato, Karen Mason (Hairspray, Mamma Mia!) as Queen of Hearts, Kate Shindle (Legally Blonde, Cabaret, Jekyll and Hyde) as Mad Hatter, Carly Rose Sonenclar (Les Miserables, Little House on the Prairie) as Chloe and Edward Staudenmayer (Spamalot, Martin Short: Fame Becomes Me) as White Rabbit. With a book by Gregory Boyd and Jack Murphy, lyrics by Jack Murphy, music by Frank Wildhorn, choreography by Marguerite Derricks and direction by Gregory Boyd, WONDERLAND will open at Broadway's Marquis Theatre on Sunday, April 17, 2011, and performances will begin Monday, March 21.

Directed by Gregory Boyd, with a book by Gregory Boyd and Jack Murphy, lyrics by Jack Murphy, music by Frank Wildhorn and choreography by Marguerite Derricks, WONDERLAND will open at Broadway's Marquis Theatre on Sunday, April 17, 2011, and performances will begin Monday, March 21.

Photo Flash: GMCLA Presents THE NUTCRACKER: A Choral Fantasy

GMCLA presents there own twist on a theatrical classic. Since actors of the Greek theatres in the city of Thespiae and long before Shakespeare had penned his very first stage play, men have been theatrically portraying women in productions. Now, in the tradition of Madam Butterfly and Hairspray, the Gay Men's Chorus of Los Angeles (GMCLA) tackled the classic pageantry of the 'Nutcracker: A choral Fantasy' at the Alex Theatre in Glendale California with male chorus members doubling in the female roles. Among those in attendance include Loni Anderson, Kate Linder, Assembly member John Perez (46th District) and Dee Wallace.

John Tartaglia Joins the NYC Pops for THE POLAR EXPRESS Holiday Concert, 12/19

According to reports from Carnegie Hall, Tony nominee and Avenue Q alum John Tartaglia will narrate the holiday children's classic The Polar Express in concert with the New York Pops at Carnegie Hall this season. The production will take place in Stern Auditorium/Perelman Stage on Saturday, December 19 at 2pm. The concert features a score by Alan Silvestri, who also wrote the music for the 2004 feature film adaptation of the event.

'Now That She's Gone' To Be Presented At Fringe

EMP Theatricals presents NOW THAT SHE'S GONE, written & performed by Ellen Snortland, as part of the 2008 New York International Fringe Festival - FringeNYC. The production, presented at the SoHo Playhouse, is directed by John Mitchell, with choreography by Leanne Fonteyn. Lighting Design is by Jason Mullen, Sound Design by Ken Gruberman, with Ruth Silveira as Costume Consultant. Production Stage Manager is Becky Harrison.
