The New York Philharmonic will inaugurate MUSICAL SUPPERS, four post-concert suppers featuring menus created by world renowned chefs Alain Ducasse, Jean-Georges Vongerichten, Lidia Bastianich, and Daniel Boulud. The Friday-evening suppers, to be hosted by food critic Mimi Sheraton, will be prepared by Restaurant Associates and will take place at Arpeggio Food and Wine in Avery Fisher Hall on January 8, 2010 (Ducasse); February 12 (Vongerichten); April 16 (Bastianich); and June 4 (Boulud).

The New York Philharmonic will return to Colorado's Bravo! Vail Valley Music Festival for its eighth annual summer residency, for six concerts, July 23-30, 2010. Alan Gilbert will conduct three concerts in Vail at the conclusion of his first season as Music Director of the Philharmonic, leading works by Beethoven, Sibelius, Mozart, Mendelssohn, Tchaikovsky, and Rachmaninoff. The three-week festival - one of several initiatives launched during Alan Gilbert's first season as Music Director - will offer an in-depth look at Stravinsky, exploring how his Russian roots informed his works. Led by the Russian-born Mr. Gergiev, the festival will feature eight programs over three weeks, including concerts, lectures, pre-concert talks, radio broadcasts, podcasts and an Archives exhibit.

Nigel Redden, Director of the Lincoln Center Festival, which runs from July 7 through July 25, 2010, today announced the Festival's line-up, which includes ten North American, U.S., and New York premieres, and debuts. The Festival will unfold in seven venues on and off the Lincoln Center campus, including two major theater events on Governors Island-the North American premiere of Peter Stein's 12-hour marathon production of Dostoyevsky's The Demons (also known as The Possessed) and the North American premiere of Toneelgroep Amsterdam's production of Pier Paolo Pasolini's searing Teorema, adapted and staged by Ivo van Hove.
