Casts of GLEE, 'Community', 'True Blood' & More Set for PaleyFest2011

The William S. Paley Television Festival (PaleyFest2011) is an extraordinary interactive pop culture event, connecting fans with the casts and creators of their favorite series as well as the icons who have changed or are changing the face of media. During each PaleyFest evening, the audience views episodes or highlights of the honored work followed by an interactive panel discussion with the cast and creative team.

BWW Reviews: Extremities from The Edge Theatre Co.

Extremities, written by William Mastrosimone is a very sensitive show about rape and torture dealing with a would-be rape victim who turns the tables on her attacker. The show, and it's actors deal with an entire gambit of moral and ethical questions. The play was written in 1982 and is still very relevant to this day.

HBO Picks Up Aaron Sorkin's New Cable News Pilot

HBO has just greenlit Aaron Sorkin's long-developing drama, set behind the scenes at a nightly cable news show. 'Social Network' producer Scott Rudin will reunite with Sorkin for the project which will be executive produced by both. Filming on the pilot will not begin until later in the year.

Kevin Anderson and Catherine Dent, et. al, Join THE BREAK OF NOON at Geffen, 1/25

Broadway veteran Kevin Anderson leads the cast in the Los Angeles run of world premiere production of Neil LaBute's The Break of Noon. The Break of Noon, which is a co-production with MCC in New York, will feature Catherine Dent as well as Tracee Chimo and John Earl Jelks, who performed their roles in the New York portion of the run. Helmed by director Jo Bonney, The Break of Noon begins in previews on January 25, 2011 and officially opens February 2, 2011.

Sorkin's Cable News Network Drama Awaits OK From HBO

For the past few months, HBO has been talking to Aaron Sorkin about his long-developing drama, set behind the scenes at a nightly cable news show. However, with the awards show season and his latest film, 'The Social Network,', negotiations have been slow as Sorkin makes rewrites.

Block, Olivo et al. Lead BY THE WAY, MEET VERA STARK at 2nd Stage This Season

Second Stage Theatre (Carole Rothman, Artistic Director) has announced that STEPHANIE J. BLOCK, DANIEL BREAKER, KIMBERLY HÉBERT GREGORY, KEVIN ISOLA and KAREN OLIVO will star in the world premiere comedy, BY THE WAY, MEET VERA STARK, the new play by Lynn Nottage, directed by Jo Bonney. BY THE WAY, MEET VERA STARK is Ms. Nottage's first play to be produced in New York since she won the Pulitzer Prize for Ruined in 2009.

Fiona Shaw Joins 4th Season of TRUE BLOOD

According to Deadline.com, Fiona Shaw is set to join the cast of Alan Ball's True Blood for its fourth season. Th stage star will play Marnie, 'a mousy, timid and secretly self loathing storefront medium and palm reader who is taken over by the spirit of a powerful witch.'

Spike TV's 'Scream 2010' To Feature Farewell To LOST, Airs 10/19

Months after millions of viewers were riveted by 'Lost's' finale, fans will be given the opportunity to bid a final farewell to the landmark series, as 'SCREAM 2010' brings together the show's cast and creators, including Jorge Garcia, Harold Perrineau, Henry Ian Cusick, Carlton Cuse and Damon Lindelof, for a tribute to the survivors of Oceanic Flight 815. More cast will be announced shortly. The two-hour event premieres on Spike TV on Tuesday, October 19 (9:00 - 11:00 PM, ET/PT).
