Hip to Hip Theatre Company, under the Artistic Direction of Jason Marr is in their final week of performances. Five remaining shows are scheduled for Manhattan, Queens, and Southampton. Now in its eleventh season, Hip to Hip will end their 2017 tour with a performance of Henry IV on Saturday, August 19th at 7:30 pm in Southampton.  (more...)

 In April of 2017 at Wild Project in the East Village, a revival of James McLure's Lone Star, by NINE Theatricals, took the stage in New York City for only the second time since it's Broadway debut in 1979. The production was met with tremendous feedback and glowing reviews from New York City critics and audiences who had not before seen this lesser known work. With a demand for more shows, producers moved Lone Star, in May, to The Triad Theatre for a limited Off Broadway contract run. (more...)

Rick Dildine, artistic and executive director of Shakespeare Festival St. Louis, will join Alabama Shakespeare Festival as Artistic Director. In his new role, Dildine will oversee an operation that produces 10 productions in two venues set in a 250-acre park with an annual budget of $8.1 million and more than 230 employees.
