Lee Summers, a veteran performer having made his Broadway debut in the original production of Dreamgirls, continues as a voice in the American Musical Theater. Neil Totton, in association with The Time Out New York Lounge, will present New York Soul Sensation, a singing competition based on the truth that soul music has the power to transform and change lives by vocalists digging deep down to pull out performances that touch and captivate an audience - Sunday evenings at 9:30pm through March 13th, at the Time Out New York Lounge at New World Stages, 340 West 50th Street (between Eighth & Ninth Avenues).

Harlem Stage presents the final reading of Diedre Murray's THE VOICE WITHIN on Thursday, May 13 at the Gatehouse Theatre (150 Convent Avenue at West 135th Street). Show time is 7:30pm. On Sunday, September 9 at 7PM, some of Broadway and cabaret's best presented a spirited original concert, 'I Feel Good: Broadway Celebrates The Music of James Brown' at Birdland.

Through November 12, Capathia Jenkins, who currently stops the show in the new Broadway hit Martin Short: Fame Becomes Me, joins award-winning composer/performer Louis Rosen to perform songs from their debut CD, 'Capathia Jenkins and Louis Rosen: South Side Stories'

Seth Rudetsky assembled a top notch group of performers this year at the JCC to perform songs from shows weaved throughout the story of Purim.

This yearly event incorporates the Purim Spiel told by Seth Rudetsky (voted 'Funniest Gay Male in New York') in his own style...aka, every section of the story leads to a song sung by a Broadway sasstress!
