Harlem Stage presents the final reading of Diedre Murray's THE VOICE WITHIN on Thursday, May 13 at the Gatehouse Theatre (150 Convent Avenue at West 135th Street). THE VOICE WITHIN conceived and composed by Diedre Murray, book and lyrics by Marcus Gardley, Richard Harper, musical director and Lynda Gravatt, director features the following cast Terry Burrell, Aisha DeHaas, Darius DeHaas, Tina Fabrique, LaTanya Hall, Brianna Horne, Dennis Stowe, Richard Waits, Jason Walker, and J.D. Webster.

 

A 10-singer a cappella soundscape, The Voice Within is songs and storytelling in two acts. Beginning in a mythic world of spirit, the play brings us into a richly textured urban landscape. Witness the last stage of this creative journey as this amazing new work prepares for its fall 2010 world premiere.
