Cleveland's Classic Company Presents THE TEMPEST, April 10 - 26

Cleveland's Classic Company, crowns its 2014-15 season with William Shakespeare magical masterpiece, THE TEMPEST. The production will be performed in the company's intimate and audience-friendly home at the Hanna Theatre, Playhouse Square, April 10-26, 2014. Drew Barr directs the production.

Peninsula Players to Host Readings of One-Act Plays, 4/6

Peninsula Players Theatre will present a reading of two one-act plays, 'I Shall Love You Forever' by Kathleen Thompson and 'Waiting for Tina Meyer' by Kristine Thatcher and Larry Shue at Bjorklunden (7590 Boynton Lane, Baileys Harbor) at 7p.m., Monday, April 6. Madcap Musical Comedy MURDER FOR TWO Plays the Lyric's Plaza Theatre, Now thru 4/12

Lyric Theatre of Oklahoma presents MURDER FOR TWO, a zany murder mystery musical comedy inspired by Agatha Christie and the Marx Brothers in which everyone is a suspect. Running tonight, March 25 through April 12 at Lyric's Plaza Theatre and coming directly from its smash Off-Broadway run in New York, MURDER FOR TWO is a perfect blend of music, mayhem and murder in which two actors play 13 different roles -- and the piano.

TBTB to Stage Agatha Christie's THE UNEXPECTED GUEST Next Month

Theater Breaking Through Barriers (TBTB) launches its 2015 season with a revival of Agatha Christie's rarely seen 1958 thriller The Unexpected Guest, with Off-Broadway previews set to begin April 11 at Theatre Row's Clurman Theatre (410 West 42nd Street) in Manhattan.

Casting Set for Beautiful Soup's Festival of Plays by Steven Carl McCasland, Beginning 5/6

Following critically acclaimed workshop presentations, McCasland's plays will return to NYC in a month-long festival celebrating the young playwright. Together with The Clarion Theatre, they'll present six plays beginning on May 6th, 2015, with a company of actors performing in repertory. All of the plays focus on historical figures, including Laurette Taylor, Billie Holiday, Tennessee Williams, Gertrude Stein, Lillian Hellman and more.

Dorothy Berwin, Mark Lee and Tom Kirdahy recently announced the second winners of the Berwin Lee Playwrights Award. The Berwin Lee Award was created to foster and promote the craft of playwriting in both the United States and the United Kingdom and to encourage the writing and production of plays. A reception will be held in their honor in New York City tonight, March 19, 2015.
