Acorn TV with Acorn Media Enterprises Commission Original British Drama LONDON KILLS Straight-to-Series

Acorn TV and Acorn Media Enterprises announce their second series commission and first straight-to-series program with British drama series LONDON KILLS. Acorn Media Enterprises (AME), the UK-based development division for the Acorn brand of RLJ Entertainment, Inc, has partnered with PGMTV to co-produce the new series along with Acorn Media International distributing in all English-speaking territories and international distributor ZDF Enterprises distributing in the rest of the world. Created for television and co-written by Paul Marquess (Suspects, Footballers' Wives), LONDON KILLS is currently casting and will go into production in May with a winter 2018 North American premiere for Series 1. The companies will produce two series back-to-back comprised of five by one-hour episodes. The deal was negotiated with Acorn Media Enterprises Shane Murphy, PGMTV's Paul Marquess, and ZDF Enterprises' VP ZDFE.

Louise Jameson played the iconic role of assistant Leela in Doctor Who in the Seventies opposite Tom Baker. She later starred in Tenko, Bergerac and EastEnders. In a 40-year career, her first love, the theatre, has seen her work with the National Theatre and RSC, amongst others. Now she stars in Philip Ridley's modern classic, Vincent River, currently playing at Park Theatre.

Continuing a successful UK-wide tour throughout 2018, Oliver Phelps and Deborah Grant will join the cast of The Classic Thriller Theatre Company's The Case of the Frightened Lady. Film star Oliver Phelps will make his stage debut, having played the character of George Weasley in one of the most successful film franchises of all time, Harry Potter. He is joined by TV's Deborah Grant, who amongst her many roles has starred in the BBC's Not Going Out and Bergerac.

As a fellow thespian, dealing with post-show depression sucks. Not having to perform in front of an audience, missing their eccentric applause, getting "beat" by the makeup gods before the performance, and not performing with not just your castmates, your family, literally sucks. I recently went through that.

A group of strangers is stranded in a boarding house during a snow storm, one of whom is a murderer. Suspects include the newly married couple who run the house, a spinster with a curious background, an architect who seems better equipped to be a chef, a retired Army major, a strange little man who claims his car has overturned in a drift, and a jurist who makes life miserable for everyone. Into their midst comes a policeman, traveling on skis. He probes the background of everyone present, and rattles a lot of skeletons.

Experience Theatre Project, Beaverton's resident professional theatre company, is extending its run of its fully immersive production of Agatha Christie's The Mousetrap at the Cady Building in historic downtown Beaverton, located at 12604 SW Farmington Road. The play opened February 16, will now extend its run through March 25. Tickets $29-$42 for purchase at ETP's website at www.experiencetheatreproject.org. Due to the intimate nature of this immersive show, only 35 tickets will be available per show. Shows run Thursdays through Saturdays at 7:30pm and Sundays at 2pm.
