Take five actors, with some nearly three dozen characters, plus a mystery that's playing as melodrama while also playing as a farce, and turn it into a hit show.

Fiery Angel and Royal & Derngate Northampton today announce the full casting for Agatha Christie's Love From A Stranger, directed by Lucy Bailey. The production will launch in Northampton and play for three weeks from Friday 23 February, before embarking on a UK wide tour.

Casting is announced for the world premiere of Old Fools by Tristan Bernays, a surprising, touching and often humorous tale about a couple, one of whom is living with Alzheimer's, and their enduring efforts to hold their relationship together through the years.

Virginia Olivieri is putting another notch in her directorial and acting belt with a riveting production of Agatha Christie's VERDICT, running through March 4th at Desert Stages Theatre's new digs in Scottsdale. There haven't been many popular mystery musicals over the years. I suspect it has something to do with a conflict of genres. Effective mysteries are cerebral. Audience members must perform mental gymnastics in order to outwit the detective. Musicals (with the exception of Sondheim) often prioritize emotions over logic.
