Zoetic Stage and The Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County proudly present the Florida premiere of Zach Braff's critically-acclaimed play ALL NEW PEOPLE, a hilarious new comedy which takes a fresh look at unexpected, accidental friendships that arise in life's most trying moments. Playing January 10 - 27, 2013 in the intimate Carnival Studio Theater (Ziff Ballet Opera House), ALL NEW PEOPLE is the second show in Zoetic Stage's 2012-2013 season and the fourth installment of the Arsht Center's 2012-13 Theater Up Close series which features artistic collaborations from stellar local theater ensembles and nationally acclaimed theater companies.
Florida Grand Opera (FGO) continues its season of operatic must-sees in 2013 with two displays of extreme coloratura artistry, showcasing Jeanette Vecchione in Mozart's Die Zauberflöte (The Magic Flute), opening January 26, and Rachele Gilmore in Bellini's La sonnambula, opening February 9. Each production boasts a remarkable cast of returning fan-favorites and rising stars debuting with the company this season.
As Americans descend upon Washington D.C. for the second term inauguration of President Barack Obama, South Floridians will once again gather at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County for a special Community Celebration and Live Television Simulcast of the Inauguration. The event, which will take place on January 21, will feature a simulcast of the President's address and inauguration parade, presentation of the colors by Homestead Senior High School Air Force JROTC Color Guard, live musical performance by the New World School of the Arts Concert Choir, and guest appearances by local elected officials. Admission will be free of charge and reservations can be made in advance at arshtcenter.org beginning January 8, 2013. Exact timing will be released in the coming weeks.
Producers Thomas Schumacher of Disney Theatrical Productions and Cameron Mackintosh announce full casting for the Miami engagement of MARY POPPINS. Miami's most eagerly anticipated stage production will begin performances at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County on Tuesday, January 1st for a limited engagement of one week through Sunday, January 6th. Opening night is Tuesday, January 1st at 8 p.m. MARY POPPINS is part of the Broadway in Miami 2012-2013 subscription season presented by Bank of America.
The Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County has announced a powerhouse concert by one of the world's greatest orchestras conducted by a Spanish national treasure, joining one of the most acclaimed American pianists of our time in the majestic Knight Concert Hall. On February 7, 2013, the Center's four-concert John S. and James L. Knight Masterworks Season - Sanford and Beatrice Ziff Classical Music Series, presents THE PHILADELPHIA ORCHESTRA conducted by RAFAEL FRÜHBECK DE BURGOS in Beethoven's grandest and most moving "EMPEROR" PIANO CONCERTO NO. 5, played by ANDRE WATTS. The program opens with the legendary Leopold Stokowski's orchestration of Johann Sebastian Bach's Cantata "Wachet auf, ruft uns die Stimme" ("Sleepers Awake") and closes with Johannes Brahms's majestic Symphony No. 1.

Written by House company members Jake Minton and Phillip Klapperich, and featuring original music by Jefferson Award-winning composer Kevin O'Donnell, THE NUTCRACKER, A MAGICAL NEW PLAY is a "riveting reinvention" (The Chicago Sun-Times) of the beloved holiday classic by E.T.A. Hoffmann and boasts an in-the-round set perfect for up-close enchanting experiences.

In order to create a more streamlined and effective composition, Florida Grand Opera has restructured its Board of Directors. Changes were voted into effect during a board meeting on Sept. 18, 2012, which also hosted the scheduled elections, welcoming new members.
