'Rain -- A Tribute To The Beatles'

The internationally-acclaimed Beatles concert, RAIN - A Tribute To The Beatles, makes its debut at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County with a limited FIVE-show engagement from Friday, October 8 through Sunday, October 10, 2010 in the Sanford and Dolores Ziff Ballet Opera House.

Legendary Musical 'Dreamgirls' - National Tour To Premiere At South Florida's Arsht Center

The national tour of the smash hit musical DREAMGIRLS makes its Miami premiere at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami Dade County for a one week limited engagement, Tuesday, October 19 through Sunday, October 24 as the first presentation of the BROADWAY IN MIAMI 2010-2011 season, presented by the Adrienne Arsht Center, Broadway Across America-Miami and presenting sponsor Bank of America.

Bohemian Archaeology Productions Presents BOO(zy) 10/28-29

Five of Chicago's most twisted and original writers join five of New York's most talented actors for two nights of Halloween tales. From getting freaked out to getting their freak on these storytellers tell twisted tales to get you in the Hallows' Eve mood. On Halloween night, a young hipster gets freaky with a hot DJ and wonders what happens when the costumes come off; a homeless man jams to '80s rock with a broomstick; a backpacker finds herself surrounded by freaks in the Red Light District of Amsterdam; and a bike racer dons her superhero cape and rides for her life.

World Premiere - 'Going Green The Wong Way'

In their second collaboration, the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County and Mad Cat Theatre Company present GOING GREEN THE WONG WAY, a world premiere comedy. Created by and starring trouble-making funny lady Kristina Wong and directed by Mad Cat Theatre's founder and resident prankster, Paul Tei, GOING GREEN THE WONG WAY recounts the hilarious and misfortunate adventures of Wong's life-long attempt at sustainable living, and the challenges and triumphs of being eco-friendly.

RIALTO CHATTER FOLLIES Update: Cattrall, Dossett Out; Paige & Lavin In?

The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts announced back in August that Bernadette Peters will star as Sally Durant Plummer in the Kennedy Center production of Follies in the Eisenhower Theater May 7 to June 5, 2011. Additionally, BroadwayWorld.com had heard that starring alongside Peters could be Sex and the City star and Golden Globe winner Kim Cattrall as Phyllis, Danny Burstein as Buddy and John Dossett as Ben, all of whom were cast and were then in contract negotiations. We've now heard from reliable sources that neither Cattrall or Dossett were able to work out their contract deals for the production and that both sides have moved in. Now said to be in talks? First lady of the British Musical Theatre Elaine Paige and Linda Lavin, who was most recently a 2010 Tony nominee for Collected Stories. More information to come soon...

World Premiere Of Michael McKeever's 'South Beach Babylon'

Zoetic Stage and the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County present the world premiere of SOUTH BEACH BABYLON, a wickedly funny, sexy new play by acclaimed Miami playwright Michael McKeever. This production launches Zoetic Stage's inaugural season and will be directed by the company's Artistic Director Stuart Meltzer, featuring an all-star cast of South Florida's best and brightest actors. SOUTH BEACH BABYLON will run December 2-12, 2010 in the Carnival Studio Theater in the Sanford and Dolores Ziff Ballet Opera House.

Esparza Set for Adrienne Arsht Center Benefit, 10/28

Raúl Esparza is set to perform at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts Benefit which is to be held on Thursday, October 28. The 5th Anniversary Gala will begin at 7pm, and will include the dedication of its new grand donor wall in the Ziff Ballet Opera House. For additional information, email Gala@arshtcenter.org.

The Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami Dade County proudly announces new and ongoing partnerships for the 2010 2011 CARNIVAL STUDIO THEATER SEASON, featuring four dynamic programming initiatives: THE BEST OF SOUTH FLORIDA, GROUNDBREAKING NEW WORK, CRITICALLY ACCLAIMED NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL THEATER, and FAMILY-FRIENDLY THEATRICAL HITS - all presented in the Carnival Studio Theater in the Sanford and Dolores Ziff Ballet Opera House. Arsht Center Debuts 'Bombay Sapphire Lounge'

In a move that will further invigorate Downtown Miami's burgeoning social scene, the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County and Bacardi U.S.A., Inc. are introducing a new BOMBAY SAPPHIRE® branded, street-level lounge. Opening to the public on October 19, 2010 during the Broadway in Miami run of DREAMGIRLS, the BOMBAY SAPPHIRE Lounge is Bacardi U.S.A, Inc.'s first stand-alone venue themed after BOMBAY SAPPHIRE gin, the top-valued and fastest-growing premium gin brand in the world. The Lounge, which is located inside the Adrienne Arsht Center's landmark Carnival Tower, is part of a five year naming rights agreement consisting of a $300,000 contribution to the Center.

Tony Winner Dame Edna To Grace Arsht Center In 'An Evening With Dame Edna'

The Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami Dade County presents AN EVENING WITH DAME EDNA. The glittering, effervescent, tirelessly funny DAME EDNA EVERAGE will light up the John S. and James L. Knight Concert Hall with her purple-hued hair and sassy Aussie wit on April 13 and 14, 2011. The Tony Award-winning dame from Down Under brings her stage show to Miami for two evenings of glitz, glamour, and her signature gladiolas. AN EVENING WITH DAME EDNA is part of the inaugural season of the 2010-2011 Adrienne Arsht Center comedy series, COMEDY PLANET.

'Pandemonium: The Lost And Found Orchestra' United States Premiere

The Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County announced the kick-off to its 5th Anniversary Season with the U.S. premiere of PANDEMONIUM: The Lost and Found Orchestra. From the creators of the blockbuster hit STOMP, this modern, urban symphonic adventure features a cast of 25 performers plus a 30-member choir of local Miami singers. Fresh from sold-out performances in London, Sydney, and Amsterdam, PANDEMONIUM is poised to take Miami by storm, September 16-26, 2010 in the Sanford and Dolores Ziff Ballet Opera House.
