Performances are now underway for the first-ever Broadway revival of the Tony Award-winning ART. As the show returns to New York, we're looking back on the play's history and notable stars who have taken on these roles.

Award-winning comedian Seann Walsh, Chris Harper (Call the Midwife, Coronation Street) and Aden Gillett (The Crown, The House of Elliot) will star in a brand-new production of Yasmina Reza's fiendishly clever and hilariously funny play ART.

59E59 Theaters is thrilled welcome to Brits Off Broadway the US premiere of CAROLINE'S KITCHEN, written by Torben Betts and directed by Alastair Whatley. Produced by Original Theatre Company, Ghost Light Theatre & Eilene Davidson, CAROLINE'S KITCHEN begins performances on Thursday, April 25 for a limited engagement through Saturday, May 25.

59E59 Theaters announce the line-up of shows for 2019's Brits Off Broadway, the critically acclaimed festival dedicated to featuring the UK's most innovative and provocative theater in New York City. Brits Off Broadway begins on Tuesday, April 16 and runs through Sunday, June 30.

Caroline's Kitchen has been simmering away since 2016, when we commissioned Torben Betts to write a brand-new play about a (fictional…) celebrated TV chef whose gleaming life in front of the cameras masked an escalating crisis behind them.

Jasmyn Banks and Tom England will join the previously announced Caroline Langrishe, Aden Gillett, James Sutton and Elizabeth Boag in the 2019 national tour of Torben Betts's biting comedy, CAROLINE'S KITCHEN, beginning on 24 January 2019 at Derby Theatre, running through to 13 April 2019 at the Mercury Theatre, Colchester. This will be followed by an off-Broadway season in New York Spring 2019. There will be a national press night at Cambridge Arts Theatre on Tuesday 29 January 2019.

Having recently worked on a number of musicals (including the acclaimed Half a Sixpence), Rachel Kavanaugh returns to the RSC for a play which has some ghosts of the past and present. Sharing some of her earliest experiences with theatre, Rachel reveals what it's like to work alongside a figure from then, and what audiences can expect from this show now.

A politically-charged production of the gruesome musical Sweeney Todd (Fri 12 Apr to Sat 18 May) will be brought to life on the Everyman stage in April 2019. Directed by Nick Bagnall, the production explores the social inequalities in a decaying nineteenth century England ruled by the corruption of the upper classes. Liam Tobin (Everyman Company 2017 and 2018) plays the role of Sweeney Todd, with the full cast to be announced in the New Year. This bold production is joined by exciting collaborations with other theatre-makers.

Torben Betts's biting comedy, CAROLINE'S KITCHEN, was staged earlier this year on tour and at Park Theatre, London, under the title Monogamy, starring Janie Dee. Betts and his producers, Original Theatre Company, under the Artistic Direction of Alastair Whatley, have reworked the play and, with a new cast led by Caroline Langrishe, Aden Gillett, James Sutton and Elizabeth Boag (further casting to be announced), will begin a new national tour on 24 January 2019 at Derby Theatre, running through to 13 April 2019 at the Mercury Theatre, Colchester. This will be followed by an off-Broadway season in New York Spring 2019.

Lead casting is today announced for a 2018 UK tour of Terence Rattigan's classic family drama, The Winslow Boy - directed by Olivier Award-nominated Rachel Kavanaugh. Tessa Peake-Jones (Only Fools and Horses, Grantchester) stars as Grace Winslow wife of Arthur Winslow, played by Aden Gillett (House of Eliott, Holby City), the father who embarks on an extraordinary campaign for justice for his son.

Natalie Simpson (Royal Shakespeare Company's recent productions of King Lear, Hamlet and Cymbeline) joins an eleven-strong cast to play Duchess Rosaura alongside the previously announced Stephen Boxer in THE CARDINAL at Southwark Playhouse. James Shirley's tragic masterpiece, directed by Justin Audibert, plays from 26 April - 27 May with a press performance on 28 April.

Alice Hamilton directs Aden Gillett, Simon Gregor, Carla Langley, Rona Morison and Ellie Turner in the production opening at Southwark Playhouse on 4 November, with previews from 2 November, running until 26 November.
