This October, the Tony Award-winning Berkeley Repertory Theatre once again introduces a new script for the American theatre with the world premiere of How to Write a New Book for the Bible.
In a first for both the television series and for the artist, 'Private Practice' will solely and exclusively feature songs from the legendary Mary J. Blige and her upcoming album, 'My Life II... The Journey Continues (Act 1),' during 'Private Practice': The Intervention, a two-hour television event airing THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 17 (9:00-11:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network. Music and special features will be available on ABC Music Lounge (http://abc.go.com/music-lounge).
Berkeley's acclaimed Aurora Theatre Company presents the second Aurora Script Club meeting of the season with playwright Bill Cain's (Equivocation, Nine Circles) Stand-Up Tragedy. Cain introduced Stand-Up Tragedy to the American stage 20 years ago, telling a story in music and dance through characters who feel like puppets gambling with their fate in an 'ecology of evil.'
Famous names like Rita Moreno and Mikhail Baryshnikov may be on the marquee, but every spring local teens steal the spotlight at the Tony Award-winning Berkeley Repertory Theatre. During the 10th annual Teen One-Acts Festival, enthusiastic high-school students can try their hands at acting, directing, playwriting, producing, and more.
