In a first for both the television series and for the artist, "Private Practice" will solely and exclusively feature songs from the legendary Mary J. Blige and her upcoming album, "My Life II... The Journey Continues (Act 1)," during "Private Practice": The Intervention, a two-hour television event airing THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 17 (9:00-11:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network. Music and special features will be available on ABC Music Lounge (http://abc.go.com/music-lounge).

"I am thrilled to have my music on 'Private Practice,'" says Blige, "... especially in these two episodes which are dealing with such important issues."

In the first hour or a special two-hour edition of "Private Practice," THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 17 (9:00-11:00 p.m., ET) -- entitled "Who We Are" -- the Seaside Wellness group stages an intervention for a defensive and volatile Amelia, who has resurfaced after disappearing on a 12-day drug binge with her boyfriend, Ryan. During the intervention, Amelia mercilessly attacks her friends one-by-one, and Addison, in particular, has trouble seeing her sister-in-law in her present condition. In the second hour, entitled "The Breaking Point," Amelia makes the hard decision to enter a rehab facility, and finds strength in an 18 year-old girl, as they both go through the painful detox process. Meanwhile, Cooper's strengthening bond with his son is tested by his allegiance to a patient in need, Pete and Violet's marriage reaches a tipping point, and Addison collapses from her rigorous fertility treatments.

Recorded in Los Angeles and New York with producers including Danja, Kanye West, Rodney Jerkins, Stargate and The Underdogs, "My Life II... The Journey Continues (Act 1)"continues to display Blige's distinct and undeniably remarkable voice as well as her proven ability to deliver timeless hits. The album's critically acclaimed first single, "25/8," is currently available wherever music is sold online.

Since her 1992 debut, "What's The 411?," Mary J. Blige has sold over 50 million albums worldwide. Among her many accolades, she can claim 8 multi-platinum albums, 9 Grammy Awards (she has been nominated for a staggering 29) and 4 American Music Awards. Blige is the co-founder of the Foundation for the Advancement of Women Now (FFAWN), whose mission is to empower women from all walks of life to reach their full individual potential. On July 31, 2010, Mary J. Blige sold over 60 thousand bottles of her "My Life" perfume on the Home Shopping Network. Her perfume was the first to sell over 60,000 bottles in one day on HSN and $1 from each purchase was donated to FFAWN. For more information please visit www.mjblige.com.
