Fans of ABC's hit drama PRIVATE PRACTICE will be able to submit questions and receive real-time responses from Kate Walsh, who will be on Twitter at @katewalsh during the East Coast broadcast of the show, and Paul Adelstein, who will be on Twitter at @adelsteinPaul during the West Coast broadcast, TUESDAY, APRIL 17 from 10:01-11:00 p.m., ET on ABC.

Signal Ensemble Theatre Opens HOSTAGE SONG 5/5

Signal Ensemble Theatre announces the final production in their 2011-2012 season, the Chicago premiere of Hostage Song, May 5 - June 9, at Signal Ensemble Theatre, 1802 West Berenice Ave. Clay McLeod Chapman writes the production with music and lyrics by Kyle Jarrow, directed by Signal's Co-Artistic Director Ronan Marra with music direction by Signal Ensemble Member Jon Steinhagen. The performance schedule for Hostage Song is Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 3 p.m.

Berkeley Rep Extends RED Through May 12

Today, Berkeley Repertory Theatre announced that it is extending its latest show for two weeks. Originally scheduled to close on April 29, RED adds 12 performances due to popular demand and now runs through May 12.

Legendary, Volatile Painter Mark Rothko’s Life Sparks RED At Northern Stage Thru April 1

Northern Stage, considered one of the most prestigious and fastest-growing regional theaters in New England, presents the Tony Award winning play, Red, through April 21. Red was first produced at the 250-seat Donmar Warehouse in London in December 2009, starring Alfred Molina and Eddie Redmayne. The production transferred to Broadway's John Golden Theatre, with the same cast, for a limited run, from March 11 - June 27, 2010. It picked up six Tony Awards, including Best Play, Best Direction, and Best Performance by a Featured Actor (Redmayne), as well as three Drama Desk Awards, including Best Play.

Now Waters and two exceptional actors bring this powerful play to local audiences. Red begins previews on the intimate Thrust Stage on March 16, opens March 22, and runs through April 29.

Berkeley Repertory Theatre Announces Spring Classes

In celebration of the upcoming world premiere of Eve Ensler's Emotional Creature, which consists of original monologues about and for girls, Berkeley Repertory Theatre offers a host of new courses this spring that allow students of all ages to share their personal stories. At Berkeley Rep's School of Theatre, teens can take Writing Monologues with Melissa Hillman; adults can mine their lives for stories with Joel ben Izzy or get a primer on Solo Performance with Sara Felder; and school kids can act out their favorite fables in a class on Fairy Tales and Adventures with Erica Blue. And there are dozens of other classes as well!

Chi Children's Theatre To Present THE HOUDINI BOX

Master puppeteer Blair Thomas will direct and create puppetry for CCT's The Houdini Box, already a recipient of two prestigious development grants from the National Endowment for the Arts. Book and lyrics are by Hannah Kohl, with original music by Mark Messing, music director of Chicago's #1 circus punk marching band Mucca Pazza.
