The CW's AMERICA'S NEXT TOP MODEL Returns Tonight

Cycle 21 of AMERICA'S NEXT TOP MODEL, hosted by Tyra Banks, will premiere tonight, August 18 (9:00-10:00pm ET), featuring seven men and seven women living under one roof and battling it out to earn the prestigious title of AMERICA'S NEXT TOP MODEL. The fourteen finalists were announced today representing regions from all across the US and Canada.

A Contemporary Theatre to Stage West Coast Premiere of Ayad Akhtar's THE INVISIBLE HAND

A Contemporary Theatre announces the west coast premiere of writer/actor Ayad Akhtar's The Invisible Hand, about an American investor kidnapped by a militant group in Pakistan. Akhtar won the Pulitzer Prize in 2013 for his play Disgraced, which opens on Broadway this fall. The Invisible Hand premiered at the Repertory Theatre of St. Louis studio series in 2012. Since then, Akhtar has continued development on the script, added a character, and he will participate in the creative process as the show develops in Seattle, spending time in the rehearsal room and audience preview process.

Check out photos from Day 1 of the Lollapalooza Festival at Grant Park on August 1, 2014 in Chicago. This year marks the festival's 10-year anniversary in Chicago's lakefront Grant Park. Arctic Monkeys, Calvin Harris, Lorde, the Avett Brothers, Foster The People, Childish Gambino and Nas are just some of the other 130 artists confirmed for this year's Lolla, which is marking a decade in the iconic Chicago park. Check out the line-up below. Lollapalooza co-founder Perry Farrell will host some of dance music's biggest names as well including Zedd, Sebastian Ingrosso and Flosstradamus.Up-and-coming artists like Bleachers, NONONO and Vic Mensa are also on the bill, as are a spate of international acts, including South African rock act Kongos and Ireland's Kodaline. Eminem previously headlined Lollapalooza in 2011, and KOL did the same in 2009. Skrillex follows in the footsteps of dance acts like Avicii and Justice, who made the leap to the main stages in 2012.

EDINBURGH 2014 - BWW Reviews: THE SCOTTISH ENLIGHTENMENT PROJECT, Summerhall, August 1 2014

The Scottish Enlightenment Project, playing for only three nights at Summerhall, is a performance of a work in progress created by the National Theatre of Scotland and Brooklyn-based the TEAM. A meditation on Scottish national identity, particularly in contrast with that of America, it is centred around the story of two old friends from Glasgow, one recently returned from London and one still living with his mother, who reunite and head out on a road trip with an American woman they meet in a bar. Their story is interwoven with scenes demonstrating the influence on their ideas of national identity by the main thinkers of the Scottish Enlightenment, particularly James Macpherson (of Ossian fame), Adam Smith and Walter Scott.

Chris Guthrie is bound to a harsh farming life by her intense love of the land. She dreams of the seductive yet distant world of books and learning, but when war breaks out, Chris suddenly finds herself facing a very different reality as a widowed, single mother in a land altered beyond recognition. Set in a farming community in the North East of Scotland, Sunset Song charts Chris's struggle to adapt to her new world and hold together her fragile family. Her survival depends solely on her belief that beyond the sunset lies hope.

Press opening is tonight, April 18th at 8:00 PM at Theater Wit, 1229 W Belmont. The production runs through May 18th.

St Petersburg Mayoral Race Debate at American Stage - October 11

The two final candidates in the St Petersburg Mayoral Race will debate on the set of THE BIRDS at American Stage beginning at 8am on Friday October 11, 2013. The debate will feature Mayor Bill Foster and challenger Rick Kriseman. Adam Smith, the Tampa Bay Times political editor, will be the moderator who will direct questions to each candidate.

On a city street corner, between madness and sanity, all that stands in the way of Hank and freedom is a certifiable homeless man, and a pay phone that can't hear out. The victim of a hit and run, citizen Hank (Maffei) finds himself sprawled out on a city street corner, bleeding from his head, ignored by passersby. Mind and body are put to the test as his one hope of rescue lies mere feet away in the form of a payphone.
