Black Swan has announced that leading actor, singer and producer Simon Burke AO will make his debut performance with the company and join the cast of Clinton: The Musical, from Queensland brothers Paul Hodge and Michael Hodge.
Next to Normal is a Pulitzer Prize winner for Drama and three time Tony Award winning rock musical that has enthralled audiences on Broadway and this season is a first for Perth audiences. Starring one of Australia's best loved musical theatre stars, Rachael Beck (Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Sound of Music) she is joined by Brendan Hanson (I Will Survive, Oklahoma) and Michael Cormick (Blood Brothers, The Phantom of the Opera) and three WAAPA graduates, Shannen Alyce, James Bell and Joel Horwood.

Douglas Hodge stars as Willy Wonka in the brand-new production of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory at Theatre Royal Drury Lane in London. Directed by Academy Award winner Sam Mendes, the story is brought to life with music by Marc Shaiman and lyrics by Scott Wittman and Marc Shaiman (Grammy winners for Hairspray; Smash), with a book by award-winning playwright and adaptor David Greig (The Bacchae; Tintin In Tibet). Anne Charleston, best-known for her role as ‘Madge' in 'Neighbours', rejoins the cast of 'CALENDAR GIRLS' in the role of ‘Jessie - Miss January' after receiving critical acclaim in the role earlier this year. The current cast, which includes Elaine C Smith, Denise Black, Jennifer Ellison, Julia Hills, Rachel Lumberg and Ruth Madoc, are happy to welcome Anne back to the 'CALENDAR GIRLS' fold.
