Announcing creative team and cast for the world premiere of the children's musical, Quiet Clock, The Musical, based on the book, The Quiet Clock by Britt Nichols.
Part of the challenge of presenting a classic musical like GUYS AND DOLLS is trying to keep something that everyone is familiar with coming across like a stale piece of bread. Since its Broadway premiere in 1950, nearly every high school drama department and community theater has taken the shot at the Frank Loesser-penned musical for nearly six decades. 'Luck Be A Lady' has become a calling card for Las Vegas and many artists including duets by Frank Sinatra and Chrissie Hynde of the Pretenders and Dee Snider and Clay Aiken have tried their hand at the song.
Planet Connections Theatre Festivity, a new eco-friendly festival designed to promote social and cultural awareness in the theatrical community, launches with 35 premieres in June 2009. Co-Executive Directors, Glory Bowen and Frank Calo, are excited by the prospects of premiering new shows which foster social change, benefiting at least 26 various not-for-profit organizations, while connecting artists with new audiences in a fun theatrical environment.
