BWW Vlog: Rehearsals Begin for WEST SIDE STORY at Casa Manana

Casa Mañana Theatre continues its 2016-17 Broadway season with the Tony® Award-winning Broadway Musical West Side Story, March 4-12. Tickets are on sale now.

Jennifer Nettles and Carly Hughes just joined the Broadway company of Chicago in the starring roles of Roxie Hart and Velma Kelly for a limited eight-week engagement -- where they will continue through Sunday, March 29, 2015 at the Ambassador Theatre (219 W. 49th St.). On Sunday, November 23 (7 p.m.), in a celebratory landmark performance, the company of Broadway's record-breaking hit musical CHICAGO welcomed back its four original stars -- Tony Award winners Ann Reinking, Bebe Neuwirth, James Naughton and Joel Grey. CHICAGO has surpassed the run of iconic Broadway blockbuster CATS with a record-breaking 7,486 performances, making it the second longest-running show in Broadway history. Each made cameos in the show and all reunited for a special curtain call!

It was almost like no time had passed as original stars of the CHICAGO revival Ann Reinking and Bebe Neuwirth took part in the show's mega-celebration last night by reprising 'Nowadays'.

On Sunday evening, November 23 (7 p.m.), in a celebratory landmark performance, the company of Broadway's record-breaking hit musical CHICAGO is pleased to welcome back its four original stars -- Tony Award winnersAnn Reinking, Bebe Neuwirth, James Naughton and Joel Grey.

This November, the Tony Award-winning, worldwide musical smash CHICAGO will celebrate a monumental milestone when it becomes the second-longest running show in Broadway history.

Carnegie Hall today announced the complete cast for its gala benefit performance of Guys and Dolls on Thursday, April 3 at 7:30 p.m. in Stern Auditorium/Perelman Stage. Tony Award winner Len Cariou (Sweeney Todd, Applause, A Little Night Music) joins the cast as Arvide Abernathy along with Tony Award nominee Lee Wilkof (Assassins, Little Shop of Horrors, Kiss Me Kate) as Harry the Horse. Members of the Mission Band joining Allison Blackwell (Agatha) are J.D. Webster (Calvin), Linda Mugleston (Martha), and Joseph Torello (Joseph).

The 2013 theatre season brought some truly extraordinary productions, including Cinderella, which is still playing at the Broadway Theatre. The musical earned 9 Tony nominations, taking home an awardfor costume design.

On November 24th at 9:30pm, BroadwayUnderstudies.com has once again invited some of Broadway's most talented understudies to the stage of the Laurie Beechman Theatre to share their rare talent-the ability to perform at a second's notice. They'll be thrown into the fire in 'Half Hour 4: A Last Minute Concert,' a show where even they don't know what they'll be singing before they step up to the microphone. The audience will get to vote on what song each performer will sing.

On Thursday night, the cast of Chicago, including Bianca Marroquin, Amra-Faye Wright, Ryan Silverman, Christopher Fitzgerald, and Roz Ryan celebrated the show's 17th year on Broadway with a special cake-cutting. Three-time Tony Award nominee Rebecca Luker recently joined the cast of Broadway's CINDERELLA as the Fairy Godmother, Marie, on September 6. Luker will continue in the role through through January 19, 2014, while original cast member Victoria Clark departs the production temporarily for a new project. Three-time Tony Award nominee Rebecca Luker will join the cast on Broadway as Cinderella's Fairy Godmother, Marie, starting tonight, September 6 through January 19, 2014. Ms. Luker takes over the role from Victoria Clark, who leaves Cinderella temporarily for a new project, returning to the musical on January 21.

Cinderella welcomed its first same sex proposal last night, September 4, directly following the 7:30pm show. The couple, Jason Aronne and Kunal Ghose, lives in San Diego and have been together for two years. Ghose said: 'Growing up in India you don't hear many western stories but you do read Cinderella and it left a lasting impression of finding 'happily ever after' on me. This would be a best place to start our happily ever after like Cinderella and her Prince.' BroadwayWorld was there for the special event and you can check out photos below!
