Joe's Pub at The Public has confirmed the premiere of Bridget Everett in Rock Bottom, a brand new theatrical event commissioned as part of its New York Voices series on October 30, November 1 & 2 at 9:30 PM. Written by Everett with Tony-winning writing duo Marc Shaiman & Scott Wittman and Adam Horovitz of the Beastie Boys, Rock Bottom is the entertainer's first major show since 2007's At Least It's Pink and the first since her critically-acclaimed tour with Comedy Central's Inside Amy Schumer. King will contain radical reinterpretations of famous Michael Jackson songs, outside text (from Maxim Gorky's My Childhood, among other sources), some of Medlyn's personal biography and various elements of show business.

On Friday, May 3, Brooklyn Parks Commissioner Kevin Jeffrey joined Borough President Marty Markowitz; Council Member Stephen Levin; Member of the Beastie Boys, Adam Horovitz; parents of Adam Yauch, Noel and Frances Yauch, and members of the Yauch family; and John Silva of Silva Artist Management, to rename Palmetto Playground in Brooklyn Heights in honor of musician and Brooklyn native, Adam Yauch.
