Broadway's Michele, Johansson, et al. Named Most Desirable Women on 2011

After more than 5 million votes were cast internationally, AskMen's 10th Annual 'Top 99 Most Desirable Women' list today uncovered Gossip Girl actress Blake Lively as this year's No. 1. While seasoned list-veterans Gisele Bundchen and Angelina Jolie have made it onto all 10 editions, this year shows an emergence of fresh, new faces. Additionally, a very deserving Beyoncé emerged as 'Woman of the Decade' by ranking high on the list an impressive nine times, and even making it to No. 1 in 2007.

Zac Efron & Taylor Schilling Team Up for 'The Lucky One'

The Hollywood Reporter reveals that Mercy star Taylor Schilling will team up with Zac Efron in The Lucky One on the big screen. Based on the novel by Nicholas Sparks, The Lucky One centers on a U.S. marine (played by Efron) who is fixated on a photograph of a woman he does not know, attributing his survival of three tours of duty in Iraq to this keepsake. Upon returning home, he sets out to search for the face in the photograph (Schilling).

Abbie Cornish Lands Roles in 'Dark Fields' & Madonna-Helmed 'W.E'

Actress Abbie Cornish has landed roles in two highly anticipated films, reports Variety. Cornish will play the female lead in 'Dark Fields', opposite Bradley Cooper and Robert De Niro, and she will also star in 'W.E.', a period piece based on King Edward VIII's romance with Wallis Simpson, co-written by Madonna and Alex Keshinian. Madonna is also slated to direct 'W.E'.

Carey Mulligan, Meryl Streep & Michael Shuhlbarg up for Chicago Film Critics Awards

The nominees for the Chicago Film Critics Awards are out, and include some theatrical favorites including Carey Mulligan for An Education), Meryl Streep for Julia & Julia, and Michael Stuhlbarg for A Serious Man. Jason Reitman's 'Up in the Air' and Spike Jonze' 'Where the Wild Things Are' each scored six nominations including Best Picture, Best Director and Best Adapted Screenplay.

Satellite Nominations Announced, 'Nine' Receives 11, 'Glee' Receives 5, Presented 12/20

The Golden Satellite Nominations were announced today and the film version of Maury Yeston's 'Nine' received 11 nominations, inclduing Best Motion Picture and Best Director for Rob Marshall. In addition, television favorite 'Glee' received 5 nominations including Best Television Series, Best Actor in a Series for Matthew Morrison and Best Actress in a Series Lea Michele.

Belcourt Theatre Announces October Schedule

The Belcourt Theatre has announced its upcoming October schedule. It will include the showings of THE HEADLESS WOMAN, directed by Lucretia Martel, opening 10/9, David Cronenberg's THE BROOD, and John Carpenter's THE THING.

Hugh Dancy To Star in MCC Theatre's THE PRIDE

MCC Theater (Robert LuPone, Bernard Telsey, Artistic Directors; William Cantler, Associate Artistic Director; Blake West, Executive Director) has announced the trio of English actors who will appear in the American premiere production of Alexi Kaye Campbell's The Pride, directed by Joe Mantello. Hugh Dancy (Adam, Journey's End), Andrea Riseborough (Happy Go Lucky) and Ben Whishaw (Bright Star, Brideshead Revisited) will star in the four person play, with a fourth actor to be announced shortly. The production will mark Ms. Riseborough and Mr. Whishaw's New York stage debuts. Performances begin at the Lucille Lortel Theatre (121 Christopher Street, NYC) on January 27 and continue through March 20, 2010. Opening night is set for Tuesday, February 16 at 7:00 p.m.
